Curriculum Specialist
The Curriculum Specialist is involved in all components of training material creation. The purpose of the training is to increase the users understanding and utilization of the Corptax products. The Curriculum Specialist will play an integral role in the development of training materials and software images as well as acting as a liaison with the development team to ensure training deliverables are in line with development initiatives. With the ultimate goal being to provide the best learning opportunities for product users, the Curriculum Specialist will be expected to:
- Use learning theory and technical knowledge to create an educational experience for learners that successfully teaches them new information or improves their skill level. The design process includes assessing learner needs and styles, defining learning objectives, creating the learning environment and content materials, implementing the training and evaluating the effectiveness of the curriculum.
- Understand the delivery methods, audience, user tasks and information needs; to translate and develop these needs as well as their extensive product experience into relevant training content, agendas and materials to maximize product adoption
- Work closely with colleagues, managers and other educators to determine needs throughout the design process
- Assist the Corptax University team with the training documentation and image maintenance to ensure that all products or other needed programs, data, returns and reports are successfully and timely installed and updated for upcoming training programs
- Assist with maintenance of the learning database
- Provide guidance to other instructors with respect to documentation objectives
- Assist with other projects, as directed
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience, ideally in technical training, software support, or software implementation experience. Bachelor’s degree in education, accounting, or finance; or equivalent job related experience.
- Proven ability in communication and curriculum development with high customer satisfaction.
- Able to quickly develop an understanding of the Corptax applications and knowledge to provide effective training to current and potential users.
- Excellent organization skills, with the ability to multi-task when handling multiple and varied training programs.
- Strong, positive attitude, customer service focus and work ethic desired.
- Self-starter, with a high level of self-direction, initiative, motivation, and energy.
- Travel requirements: approx. 10 to 20%. Travel includes: Meetings and conferences.
