Financial Analysis Consultant - Corporate FP&A-FIN0001NA
Job Summary
As a technical expert, manages monthly forecasting process and annual planning process exercising considerable latitude in approach and analysis. Responsible for monthly financial results reporting to CFO and quarterly financial results reporting to the Board. Interprets the results and provides alternatives to management. May direct or lead a project and/or team and provide advice and direction to less experienced financial analysts.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Performs a combination of duties in accordance with departmental guidelines:
1. Manages monthly forecast and annual plan by coordinating across multiple departments and analyzing results for reasonability.
2. As senior-level financial expert, drives continuous improvement in reporting, forecasting and planning processes.
3. Accountable for preparing analysis of monthly financial results through standard and ad hoc exhibits.
4. May participate in the development and implementation of financial
strategies or tactics.
5. Coaches, leads and develops less experienced analysts while fostering a positive, open team environment.
6. Interacts and collaborates with other departments to address business issues and meet organizational objectives.
7. Provides insight and guidance as an expert or resource throughout the company.
8. Works with Workday and Adaptive to modify and update forecasting and planning process.
9. Partners with other FP&A areas, Actuarial, Accounting and Investments to understand inputs and financial outlooks for full profit and loss assembly and analysis.
May perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
1. Proven leadership ability and able to effectively build and lead teams.
2. Strong knowledge of GAAP, statutory and other complex accounting principles, practices and procedures which may include technical expertise in a functional area..
3. Strong knowledge of corporate and departmental accounting/finance practices, procedures and principles as well as solid knowledge of the organization and industry.
4. Excellent project management, organizing and planning skills.
5. Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to effectively resolve issues of a complex nature.
6. Strong interpersonal, presentation, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external business partners.
7. Thorough knowledge of the organization's systems with the ability to modify or develop new systems.
8. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, accounting systems and applications, and other business-related software systems. Workday or Tableau are a plus
Education & Experience
1. Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, economics or business, or equivalent. Master's degree, CPA, CFA, CMA or professional insurance designation preferred.
2. Minimum five to eight years of related financial analysis experience.
