For our FP&A Manager role, we’re looking for someone who will be a key asset in the future growth of M1. They’ll be responsible for building out our Finance and Strategy team and defining our approach for using financial data and modeling to support our business, product, and senior leadership’s initiatives. A successful candidate will be results-oriented and biased toward action, while spear-heading forecasting, budgeting, and the financial operating plan. They’ll be able to influence decision-making at all levels and create a strategy from the ground up.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the finance, accounting, and tax functions within M1
- Drive strategic business initiatives and analysis, including expenditure, competitive, and new business opportunity analysis
- Analyze metrics and performance in all areas of revenue, cost, expenses and capital expenditure
- Work with senior leadership on strategic planning, policy development, financial forecasting, and operating plans
- Develop analysis to better understand performance trends, impacts of decisions, identifying risks and opportunities
- Create dashboards for senior leadership, including KPIs and actionable reporting to drive decision making and business insights
- Communicate financial and accounting information and trends to the senior leadership team and board of directors to ensure data-driven financial decision making
- Supporting the CEO in raising capital and fundraising initiatives and liaising with current and possible investors
Qualifications
- 6+ years in financial leadership and strategy at a fast-paced, results-oriented company
- Expert financial modeling skills, like building complex models for valuation, forecasting, or pricing strategies
- Experience in the personal finance industry preferred
- Strong business acumen and capacity for fiscal responsibility
- Experience leading and building out a high-functioning team
- Experience supporting capital-raising initiatives at a high-growth startup
- Exposure to investor relations
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills at all levels of an organization
- Expert Excel and SQL abilities
