The Opportunity: As the Payroll Specialist, you will play an essential role on the payroll team, helping process payroll for our employees in the US & Canada. You will be responsible for critical payroll inputs, including time and attendance records, 401k contributions and other employee benefit changes. Additionally, you will provide timely assistance to your fellow employees as their primary point of contact for payroll questions. 

Under the guidance of the Senior Payroll Specialist, you will work closely with the Human Resources and Accounting teams on payroll-related issues and reporting. You will provide valuable support to these teams and others, while taking ownership of your responsibilities and maintaining a solution-orientated mindset. This is a special opportunity to learn about the payroll field and advance your individual skills, while playing a critical role on an experienced team.

How your role contributes to the success of Vivid Seats: 

• Ensure timely & accurate payroll processing for employees.
• Assist employees with inquires related to payroll.
• Contribute to the timeliness and efficiency of our payroll process.
• Support our audit requirements through documentation of processes.
• Partner with HR team to ensure pay and benefits are accurately reflected on payroll.

How your role expectations will progress as a Payroll Specialist in the first 30, 90, and 180 days: 

30 days in 

• Complete new hire orientation, gaining the resources you need to be successful. 
• Learn how ticket marketplaces operate and how you’ll contribute to providing great experiences for our customers.
• Acclimate to team and company norms, business objectives, and Vivid Seats values.
• Begin contributing to payroll processing by importing time data, entering, and uploading payroll data into ADP.

 90 days in 

• Contribute to our approaches, methods, or technologies to support overall business goals and drive team efficiencies.
• Maintain, and grow internal and external relationships to advance objectives.
• Complete employee benefit reconciliations and communicate variances.
• Assume responsibility for answering employee inquiries about their pay.

180 days in  

• Apply new methods to execute individual tasks that positively impacts the team. 
• Play an active role in continued learnings to advance skill sets necessary for team goals. 
• Implement process improvements to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Assist in other Payroll related projects and duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related Business discipline preferred or equivalent experience
• 0-2 years of payroll experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Advanced Excel skills required and experience with ADP Workforce Now a plus
• Maturity, discretion, and experience dealing with highly confidential information
• Strong attention to detail and desire to succeed
