Position Summary
We’re looking for a Senior Finance Analyst to join our Finance team on a full-time basis. In this role you will report directly to the FP&A Manager and have meaningful exposure to other departments and senior leadership. We are seeking a detail oriented, self-motivated, and collaborative team member that is data-driven. This role is perfect for you if you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are interested in making your mark on a growing tech company.
Location: Local to Chicago preferred, but open to remote for the right candidate
How you'll spend your time at Tovala.
- Preparing company metrics and analysis of monthly financial results for our team and investors
- Forecasting P&L and cash flow to support business strategic decision making and target setting
- Collaborating with key managers across departments (Food Operations, Marketing, Hardware, etc.) and communicating results and insights on business drivers
- Working closely with our Accounting team to improve and alter reporting requirements
- Partnering with the Data team to automate and validate accuracy of data used by Finance team
- Performing analysis on KPIs including LTV, CAC, Meal Margin, Retention
- Conducting ad hoc analysis for key decision making including ROI analysis on new initiatives and capital investments
- Identifying opportunities and implementing improvements in financial reporting and analysis processes
- Supporting the annual planning process and departmental operating plans
- Contributing to equity and debt fundraising activities
About you.
- Bachelors required, preferably in Finance, Accounting or a related field
- 3+ years in corporate FP&A or investment banking
- You have experience working with data and modeling in Excel / Gsheets
- You can communicate/present complex information in a succinct and clear manner
- You have strong analytical skills and can tell a story with numbers
- You can adapt to change quickly, tackle unfamiliar tasks and requests with resourcefulness
- You are a highly collaborative, team player with low ego and high eagerness to take on new challenges in a growing business
- You want to work in an environment that takes a people-first approach; values humility, transparency, and ambition
- You love food, whether that means cooking it, eating it, frequently pressing your nose against deli windows, or lusting after soft-serve on Instagram. All fair game.
