Senior Tax Analyst

We are looking for an ambitious tax professional to join our tax team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in developing their skills in a fast-paced and rapidly growing environment with exposure to a variety of different business structures, including trading, real estate investment, venture capital investment, etc. This person will perform daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual tax compliance preparation across multiple domestic and foreign subsidiaries, but the bulk of the day-to-day work will be related to analysis regarding real estate, state income, and sales/use tax matters.
More detailed responsibilities:
- Maintain core tax preparation materials for DRW’s trading and multistate real estate business
- Review real estate partnership tax returns and related tax analyses
- Prepare concise, accurate analyses of various tax issues
- Assist in wide variety of other tax issues related to other DRW business operations
- Work closely with internal accountants to integrate accounting-related data into tax-based form
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
- 3-5 years of experience with tax compliance / preparation of partnership tax returns; public accounting background preferred
- Previous experience preparing:
- tax workpapers for various types of real estate projects
- state apportionment analyses for multistate real estate businesses
- complex partnership allocations
- Proficient technical skills to address tax issues of real estate owners, developers and/or investors
- Previous experience with indirect tax matters is a plus
- Strong proficiency in Excel; strong database skills preferred; ideally some experience with general ledger packages
- Experience with multi-state tax issues; multi-national experience a plus
- Someone who is meticulous, detail oriented, organized, and able to multi-task
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to interpret large amounts of data
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and under tight deadlines
