We are looking for an ambitious tax compliance professional to join our tax team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in developing their skills in a fast-paced and rapidly growing environment with exposure to a variety of different business structures, including trading, real estate investment, venture capital investment, etc. This person will focus on performing daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual tax compliance preparation for DRW and multiple domestic and foreign subsidiaries. 

More detailed responsibilities:

• Maintain core tax preparation materials for DRW’s trading and real estate operations
• Work closely with internal accountants to integrate accounting-related data into tax-based form
• Develop new tax based reporting centered on estimates and planning for DRW and its partners
• Work collaboratively within the tax group on several different tax related items including taxation of derivatives, §1256 contracts, mixed straddle analysis, various real estate related tax matters, and multi-jurisdictional tax analysis of various business operations

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
• 3-4 years of experience with tax compliance / preparation of partnership tax returns; public accounting background preferred
• Must have previous experience in financial markets/trading industry or experience working with financial markets/trading clients
• Experience with taxation for derivatives and / or real estate (a plus)
• Strong proficiency in Excel; strong database skills preferred; ideally some experience with general ledger packages
• Experience with multi-state tax issues; multi-national experience a plus
• Someone who is meticulous, detail oriented, organized, and able to multi-task
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to interpret large amounts of data
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and under tight deadlines
• Strong financial and analytical ability
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
