Treasury & Credit Risk Lead

As the Treasury and Credit Risk Lead for Cumberland, you will be responsible for running all cash and liquidity management activities for trading operations, performing credit risk management for our counterparties and exchanges and overseeing our credit risk practices and processes.
What you’ll do:
- Perform cash forecasting, payment processing, FX exposure management, and liquidity management reporting
- Develop, enhance and monitor credit risk practices and processes
- Establish and provide ongoing support for credit facilities
- Assist in managing banking relationships and opening new bank accounts
- Manage counterparty risk by minimizing exposures to various counterparties and monitoring the financial health of counterparties; provide regular risk reporting to senior management
- Participate in FX exposure management through forecasting, pre-trade preparation, and working with operations teams on the settlement of foreign exchange transactions
- Collaborate with various internal teams, including the front office Commercial Execution team, Finance, Asset Management, Operations, Settlements, Treasury, Accounting, and Legal
- Participate in cross-department working groups and special projects as needed
What is needed for this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or similar area of study
- Understanding of trading instruments such as forwards, futures, swaps and options
- Previous experience in financial markets; previous experience in alternative investment asset management preferred
- Previous hands-on experience with one or more of the following: cash and liquidity management, cash forecasting and settlement, lending facilities management, counterparty risk management, calculation of foreign currency exposure and utilizing forward foreign currency contracts to offset risk
- Must have strong technical aptitude and be highly proficient in MS Excel and MS Word
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong initiative and proven ability to independently manage tasks and projects to completion
