Department Overview
This role supports software solutions for law enforcement and enterprise customers through procurement of Command Center Solutions in North America. In this role you will be a Go-To-Market finance business partner supporting Software sales leadership and helping grow the business.
Job Description

Essential Duties

  • Assist in preparation, analysis, and reporting monthly results compared to plan, forecast and prior year for Software leadership team and MSI internal reporting.

  • Overseeing and managing the Software Sales organization budget which includes monthly journal entries, annual plan budgeting, and budget reorganization

  • Assist with financial modeling as it relates to departmental expenses and orders reporting

  • Assist with preparing an orders forecast view during each Committed View (CV) forecast

  • Managing and organizing the accuracy of orders forecasts to align with NA Finance and Software Sales

  • Maintaining the accounting for Software Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) Commissions payout and recalculating the Order-to-Revenue (OTR) rate every year to adhere to ASC 606

  • Ad-hoc processes and support as needed by NA Finance and Software Sales

  • Drive and assist with process improvements

  • Assist in driving and projecting revenue and gross margin through analytics, expense management, variance analysis and investigation

  • Ensure data accuracy and reconciliation to financial systems

Specific Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong analytical skills, organization, and curiosity to develop new methods and processes

  • Exercises good judgment, flexible, and comfortable working under time constraints and with multiple operating constituents

  • Strong system skills including MS Office, Oracle, Tableau and Hyperion are a plus


Basic Requirements
  • Pursuing a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Economics, Finance and/or Accounting with graduation date in or after 2026
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position
