At ACCIONA Energía, we are hiring a Financial Analyst to support project development and investment efforts across wind, solar, and battery storage portfolios. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with teams in Project Finance, Power Marketing, Legal, and external stakeholders to drive financial modeling, due diligence, and transaction execution across the project lifecycle.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain pro forma financial models for renewable energy projects including wind, solar, and battery storage, with detailed support on assumptions and document reviews.

  • Prepare internal and external presentations and memoranda for investment approvals, capital raises, and senior leadership alignment.

  • Support due diligence, offering materials, and documentation for structured/project finance transactions, including M&A, debt, and tax equity deals.

  • Collaborate with the Power Marketing team to analyze pricing for RFP responses and bilateral negotiations with potential offtakers.

  • Track and maintain project and portfolio-level valuation models, including analysis of cash flow potential and tax positions.

  • Assist with the issuance, tracking, and renewal of letters of credit and related financial instruments.

Required Skills and Competencies

About You:

You’re a detail-oriented financial professional with strong analytical skills and a passion for the renewable energy sector. You’re comfortable managing complex models and presenting insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Min. 2–3 years of hands-on experience with financial modeling in Excel; VBA coding a plus.

  • Min. 2–3 years of relevant experience in energy, finance, consulting, or utilities.

  • Familiarity with tax-equity financing structures and M&A transactions preferred.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
