About Corgi

Corgi is a full-stack insurance carrier building better, faster insurance products for startups. We underwrite and issue policies directly, with fewer handoffs and less friction. Cutting out intermediaries lets us tailor coverage to how companies actually operate and price risk more efficiently.

We form and operate insurance companies from the ground up, using AI and software to automate the workflows traditionally handled by large teams of brokers, underwriters, TPAs, accountants, and operations staff. Our goal is not to incrementally improve insurance, it is to rebuild the industry infrastructure itself.

We move quickly, care deeply about talent density, and hire people who want to solve difficult problems with unusually high ownership.

The Role

We’re hiring a Financial Operations Associate to help build and scale the financial backbone of Corgi.

This role sits at the intersection of finance, accounting, and operations. You’ll help ensure money moves correctly, systems work cleanly, and financial processes scale with the business. This is not a purely administrative role— we want someone who enjoys bringing order to complexity, improving systems, and taking ownership of important operational workflows.

You’ll work closely with finance, accounting, and leadership teams to help keep the company running smoothly.

What You'll Do
  • Support day-to-day financial operations across the business.

  • Manage and track payments, vendor relationships, and financial workflows.

  • Assist with reconciliations, reporting, and month-end processes.

  • Help oversee payroll funding and internal financial transfers.

  • Maintain accurate financial records and operational documentation.

  • Identify inefficiencies and help improve financial systems and processes.

  • Coordinate across teams to ensure financial information is accurate and timely.

  • Support audits, compliance, and operational finance projects as needed.

  • Take ownership of special projects and operational problem-solving.

What We're Looking For
  • 1–4 years of experience in finance, accounting, operations, bookkeeping, AP/AR, or related roles.

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets and financial systems.

  • Reliable and able to manage multiple moving pieces at once.

  • Strong follow-through and ownership mentality.

  • Comfortable in a fast-moving environment with evolving processes.

  • Clear communicator who works well cross-functionally.

  • Experience with payroll, accounting software, or financial systems is a plus but not required.

You Might Be a Fit If You...
  • Like making messy processes run smoothly.

  • Notice details that other people miss.

  • Enjoy building systems and improving workflows.

  • Want meaningful ownership and broad exposure.

  • Take pride in keeping important operations running well.

Why Join Corgi
  • High ownership and meaningful responsibility.

  • Opportunity to help build finance and operations from the ground up.

  • Smart, curious, and collaborative team.

  • Competitive compensation and benefits.

  • A chance to help reinvent insurance.
