Description

Partner with VP of Finance, Assistant Corporate Controller and Plant Controller to manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting obligations – both internally and externally. Manage implementation and testing of financial reporting consolidation / FP&A tool.

Requirements

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Manage the preparation of monthly business unit and consolidated internal financial statements. 

• Manage the preparation of monthly and quarterly investor and external reporting. 

• Create and manage the preparation of weekly and monthly reports to support departmental and business needs. 

• Manage future implementation of financial reporting consolidation / FP&A tool. 

• Prepare detailed internal financial reports, including researching and explaining significant variances by working closely with various departments and management. 

• Provide assistance to the Corporate Controller, Assistant Corporate Controller and Plant Controller on key accounting tasks/deliverables. 

• Provide ad hoc financial reports, tables, & exhibits as requested. 

• Assesses the needs of the business, prioritize projects and drive new reporting requirements to completion. 

• Prepare and analyze financial statements monthly, including: income statement, balance sheet, and statement of cash flows. 

• Perform quality assurance and deliver recurring reports accurately and on-time. 

• Prepare financial reports by collecting, formatting, analyzing, and explaining information. 

• Interpret and analyze financial information posted to general ledger accounts. 

• Review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports. 

• Investigate and report to the Manager any inconsistencies or improprieties. 

• Research balance sheet items and income/expense fluctuations utilizing various systems and information sources.

 REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as well as accounting software. 

• Thorough understanding of accounting procedures. 

• Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). 

• Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with close attention to detail. 

• Ability to manage confidential information. 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance 

• CPA and/or Masters Degree preferred 

• 5+ years of relevant accounting/financial analysis required. 

• Infor Syteline or Epicor ERP experience a plus 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

 • Ability to lift 25 lbs
