What you will do

The Financial Operations (FinOps) Analyst, General Accounting is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. This role ensures compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies while providing analytical support to improve financial performance. This role reports to the Team Lead, General Accounting and is based in Taguig, Philippines. Work shift is mid shift, from 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring they are accurate and complete.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Carry out monthly, quarterly, and annual closing tasks.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and address any discrepancies.
  • Maintain the integrity of financial data in the accounting system.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
  • Analyze financial results and explain variances.
  • Support internal and external audit requirements, including providing documentation and schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS and company accounting policies.
  • Monitor and enhance internal controls and accounting processes.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Procurement, AP, AR) ) to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Identify ways to improve processes and automate tasks.
  • Run automation processes using KNIME and Excel macros.

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA or equivalent certification is an advantage
  • 0-3 years of experience in general accounting or financial reporting
  • General understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS)
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar), is an advantage but not a requirement.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
