Serve as the founding engineering leader: design and build the 0-to-1 enterprise SaaS platform, own technical vision and architecture, work hands-on with customers, establish engineering standards and security posture, hire and grow a small senior engineering team, and evolve into Head of Engineering/CTO.
The summary above was generated by AI
Role Highlights
  • Founder, not early hire: You will build the MVP, determine the architecture, and shape the technical direction of the company as a real partner to the founders.

  • Real Equity: 2-3% founder shares (not options) with meaningful long-term upside and true ownership.

  • Proven Founding Team: The CEO co-founded and scaled CapitalRX as COO into a Health-tech Unicorn, and the COO ran strategic workforce planning at the Cleveland Clinic. This is a team with a proven right to win.

  • Real Traction: $3m seed raised with verbal commitments for the first paid pilots.

  • If you are a top-tier builder waiting for the right moment, this is it.

Company Description

Pixel is the operating system for workforce transformation.

We are building a category-defining platform that replaces outdated, FTE-based workforce planning with task-based planning, breaking roles into their underlying tasks to reveal where work is misallocated, where it can be redistributed, and where automation and agentic AI actually create value.

In healthcare, labor shortages and rising costs across both clinical and administrative roles have made the status quo unsustainable, and Pixel provides a ground-truth view of how work really happens, enabling measurable productivity gains, defensible ROI from automation and AI, and the resilient workforces enterprises will need over the next decade.

This is not a theory. The problem is urgent, the demand is real, and the solution is already validated with customers.

Role Description

This is a true founding role.

You will be the first engineering leader and a core founding partner, working directly with the other two founders to define what Pixel becomes. You will shape the product, the architecture, the technical culture, and the long-term direction of the company.

As Founding Engineer, you will own the technical vision end to end. You will build the initial system that everything else compounds on, ship fast, make decisions that matter years from now, and work hands-on with early customers to turn messy, complex operational problems into a scalable, defensible platform.

This role is intentionally designed with a clear path to Head of Engineering or CTO as the company grows. As Pixel scales, you will grow with it, expanding your scope from builder to technical leader of the organization, owning engineering strategy, team growth, and long-term platform evolution.

This role comes with meaningful founder-level equity, reflecting real ownership and a long-term partnership. This is not an “early employee” role in disguise.

Why This Is an Immediate Yes
  • Founder-level ownership from day one

  • Clear path to Head of Engineering or CTO

  • True partnership, not a hired engineering role. You are building the company, not just the product

  • $3M seed round closed with strong venture backing

  • Verbal commitments for first paid pilots, with design partners actively shaping the product

  • Proven founding team with firsthand experience scaling healthcare technology and workforce strategy

  • A massive, urgent market problem that healthcare enterprises must solve NOW

  • AI grounded in task-level operational data, focused on outcomes, not hype

If you have been waiting for a role where traction, credibility, urgency, and upside all exist at the same time, this is it.

What you’ll do
  • Build the company from the ground up: Architect and ship the core platform that defines the business, the product, and the long-term technical moat

  • Own the 0-to-1 moment: Take a validated problem with real customers and turn it into a production system that enterprises pay for

  • Control the technical direction: Decide what gets built, what does not, and where AI and automation actually belong

  • Sit in the room where decisions are made: Work directly with founders and customers to shape the product in real time, not through tickets or handoffs

  • Set the bar permanently: Define engineering standards, security posture, and execution velocity that the company will live with for years

  • Grow into the role: Expand your scope from founding builder to Head of Engineering or CTO as the company scales

  • Build your team, your way: Hire a small, elite group of senior engineers and establish the culture you want to work in

  • Make founder-level calls with real ownership: Trade off speed, quality, and cost as a founder, not an employee, knowing the upside is yours if you get it right

What great looks like
  • A reliable, enterprise-ready SaaS platform with clean integrations

  • Clear before-and-after measurement proving workforce and automation ROI

  • A modular architecture where automation and AI compound over time

  • A small, elite senior engineering team shipping consistently and tightly aligned with founders and customers

Who You Are
  • A senior engineer or CTO-caliber builder with 5-10+ years of experience

  • Someone who has owned architecture, shipped real systems, and wants more than incremental scope

  • Comfortable operating in complex or regulated environments

  • Product-minded, commercially aware, and energized by ambiguity

  • Pragmatic about AI and automation, focused on outcomes over novelty

Progress to Date

Pixel has raised $3M in seed funding, validated the product thesis with design partners, and secured verbal commitments for its first paid pilots. The focus now is moving quickly from validated prototypes to a scalable SaaS platform and expanding into revenue-backed deployments.

Why Apply Now

Opportunities like this are rare. The problem is urgent. The founders are proven. The capital is in place. The early customers are ready. The equity is real.

If you are a high-caliber engineer who wants to build something foundational, own meaningful upside, and help define how work gets done in healthcare for the next generation, this is your moment.
