Who we are

Melotech is revolutionizing media and entertainment. We create art through technology for humans to enjoy. In just 24 months, our work has been heard, watched and loved for over 3 billion minutes worldwide.

Founded by entrepreneur and investor Soheil Mirpour, we are backed by top VCs Cherry Ventures, Speedinvest and GFC, alongside world-class angels from firms such as Spotify, Blackstone and KKR.

What you will do

Melotech is starting something new. On top of everything we have already shipped, we are building a brand-new consumer product from zero, and you are its founding product hire. There is no product yet, so you own what we build and why. You will define, prototype and ship the first version from a blank page, then own the loops that turn a first-time user into a daily one. Working fully autonomously alongside our founder, your product bets directly decide whether people come back. We will walk you through exactly what we are building as you go through the process. On a typical day, your tasks may include:

  • Defining and shipping v1 of a new consumer product from scratch, prototyping fast and cutting anything that doesn't earn its place

  • Owning the product end to end, from user research to shipped features, across the full stack of the experience

  • Living in the numbers: retention, DAU and the engagement loops that shape our trajectory

  • Running user interviews constantly and turning what you hear into product people love

  • Building with AI as a default primitive, not a bolt-on, using modern tools to go from idea to production-ready MVP at lightspeed

  • Making bold product calls and creative bets that shape our roadmap and our company

Who you are

We're looking for a builder who happens to be a product person, or a product person who can build. You've shipped consumer product that real people used and came back to, and you know exactly why they did.

Typically, your profile will look like this:

  • 3 or more years of experience, with real time as an engineer or working shoulder to shoulder with engineering

  • You've built and launched a B2C product at genuine engagement, ideally in music, media or streaming, though any high-engagement consumer product counts

  • You understand what locks users in: retention, engagement loops, habit formation

  • Equal parts user-obsessed and numbers-driven. You run the interviews and you decide off the data, and you need both

  • AI-native, with AI woven through how you research, design and build

  • You come from an early-stage, high-growth consumer company, or you started one yourself. You think like a founder because you have been early before

  • You thrive in a fast-paced and performance-oriented environment

  • You're obsessed with music, video or social media

What makes this exciting

You are one of the first people on a brand-new product, inside an ambitious team that is changing the world of media and entertainment. Being this early means every decision you make shapes its trajectory. You're not a cog in the machine but the captain of your own ship, rewarded for performance and respected for leadership. Flat hierarchies mean that your voice matters, your ideas get implemented, and your impact is immediate.

We pay competitive salaries and make you an owner of the business with equity. We work remotely to give you complete freedom over your life, while meeting regularly around the world for global offsites where we strategize, bond, and push boundaries together.

What the process will look like

We hire on a rolling basis. Earliest starting date is always ASAP.
Once you begin our process, you can progress from start to offer within a week, depending on how quickly you can move through each stage:

  1. Initial interview: 30-minute introductory call - getting to know you

  2. Case interview: 90-minute case discussion - present and debate your skills

  3. Founder interview: 90-minute interview with our CEO - going deep on all topics

  4. Offer, contract signing and onboarding

Note: As we are still in stealth, you will learn more about Melotech as you progress through the stages. By the end of the Founder interview, you will have a full grasp of our business and the details of your role.
