About This Role
We’re bringing on a senior B2B marketing leader on a fractional or contract basis to help us build and execute from day one. This engagement is structured to move quickly—and for the right person, it has a clear path to a full-time role. If you’re a seasoned operator who wants to do meaningful work without the friction of a traditional hiring process, this is for you.
This is not a traditional B2B marketing role. You will define how SuperCircle shows up to the market—and help shape how the retail industry understands circularity infrastructure itself.
As Director / Vice President of B2B Marketing (Contract), you will own the narrative, positioning, and go-to-market strategy that drives awareness, credibility, pipeline, and adoption among senior retail executives. This role sits at the center of category creation.
Core Areas of Ownership
Category Narrative & Market Positioning
- Evolve core selling narrative and positioning for enterprise retail audiences
- Translate complex supply chain and compliance dynamics into clear executive value propositions
- Develop messaging frameworks across segments, personas, and vertical priorities
- Continuously refine positioning based on customer insight and market signals
- Support category-defining reports, POVs, and frameworks
Product Marketing & GTM Strategy
- Build multi-channel launch strategies for new offerings
- Partner with Product, Sales, and Customer Success to drive adoption
- Develop enablement materials that accelerate enterprise conversations
- Shape packaging narratives and value articulation
- Translate roadmap evolution into market momentum
Thought Leadership, Founder Brand & Industry Presence
- Develop executive thought leadership strategy
- Shape founder voice and visibility across priority channels
- Partner with editors, analysts, and ecosystem stakeholders
- Support high-impact press, reports, and POV development
- Build narrative platforms that elevate credibility with enterprise buyers
Multi-Channel Campaigns & Pipeline Acceleration
- Own full-stack B2B marketing campaigns across digital, content, events, partnerships, and lifecycle channels
- Build case studies and proof narratives that accelerate enterprise trust
- Support land-and-expand storytelling across existing customers
- Partner closely with Sales on strategic account influence strategies
- Help translate market engagement into qualified pipeline
Conference Strategy & Ecosystem Influence
- Identify and prioritize high-leverage industry forums
- Develop differentiated conference positioning strategies
- Shape speaking narratives and executive presence
- Build pre- and post-event engagement strategies
- Strengthen relationships across the retail innovation ecosystem
Marketing Budget & Performance Owner
- Set and drive department OKRs in support of broader company vision
- Enhance instrumentation for key funnel measures, including CPL, conversion, CAC
- Drive test & learn roadmaps to improve these KPIs
- Set goals for each major campaign or initiative, hindsighting for learnings
AI-Enabled Marketing Operating Model
- Implement AI tools across research, content, messaging, and campaign workflows
- Improve speed and leverage of marketing execution
- Develop experimentation loops that increase output quality and velocity
- Identify opportunities to automate insight generation and measurement
What You Bring
- 7–12+ years in B2B marketing, product marketing, or category marketing roles
- Experience marketing complex platforms to enterprise buyers
- Background in supply chain, circularity tech, retail tech, or martech environments preferred
- Experience operating in early-stage or high-growth startups
- Track record building narrative platforms—not just campaigns
- Demonstrated ownership of multi-channel B2B marketing strategy
- Comfort working directly with founders and senior executives
- Fluency with emerging AI tools shaping modern marketing workflows
- Ability to operate independently and ramp quickly in a contract context

Additional Details
This role is structured as a fractional or project-based contract engagement at 20–30 hours per week. Scope and specific deliverables will be defined based on mutual fit. Compensation will be structured accordingly.
