Job Summary
This opportunity is at FreeWheel, a Comcast Company. Within Comcast Advertising, the Beeswax organization is building an easy to use, massive scale and high availability advertising platform. We offer our customers the most extensible and transparent advertising system in the world and process millions of transactions per second. To manage the firehose of data coming in, we explore complex tradeoffs and carefully architect high performance distributed systems. Those in turn require elegant and thoughtfully designed API contracts to configure the systems accessible to both our team and our customers. We are looking for a Junior Python Developer to join our collaborative cross-functional product team building the web application that empowers customers to configure their nuanced advertising strategy.
Job Description
Required Skills/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or relatable technical field or experience equivalent.
  • 1+ Years of Professional Experience with Python

Nice to Have:
  • AdTech Industry Experience
  • Experience with Django

Core Responsibilities:
  • Analyzes and determines integration needs.
  • Evaluates and plans software designs, test results and technical manuals.
  • Reviews literature, patents and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned
  • projects.
  • Programs new software, web applications and supports new applications under
  • development and the customization of current applications.
  • Edits and reviews technical requirements documentation.
  • Works with Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and
  • technical requirements.
  • Displays knowledge of engineering methodologies, concepts, skills and their application
  • in the area of specified engineering specialty.
  • Displays knowledge of and ability to apply, process design and redesign skills.
  • Displays in-depth knowledge of and ability to apply, project management skills.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends,
  • variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Salary:
Primary Location Pay Range: $93,016.32 - $139,524.48
Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. The application window is 30 days from the date job is posted, unless the number of applicants requires it to close sooner or later.
Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a Commission under the terms of an applicable plan, while most non-sales positions are eligible for a Bonus.
