The Fullstack Software engineer is responsible for building new applications as well as maintaining and supporting existing applications for Melbourne Design Centre. The main objective will be to design and build advanced Web APIs but is also expected to take active participation in end-to-end development tasks like documentation, testing, deployment, support, troubleshooting and backend development activities centred around .Net, Azure Cloud and Docker.
 

Essential

• Perm Residency or citizenship required

• Demonstrable significant backend experience in C#, SQL Server and Azure Cloud

• 5+ years of continuous commercial experience in an enterprise environment

• Solid experiences in Software Development, Design and Architecture, ideally within an enterprise environment

• Strong knowledge and application of software design patterns

• Knowledge of web standards and ecosystem

• Experience with Agile development methodologies

• Solid understanding of HTTP, JSON and RESTful design

• Unit and Integration testing (eg. MSTest, NUnit, xUnit)

• Experience with containerisation (eg. Docker)

• Experience and knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Azure Devops, GitLab)

• API Blueprint for API design and documentation

BONUS Skills

• Proficiency with web oriented IDE (eg. VS Code, Rider, Web Storm)

• Experience with web (eg. HTML/CSS)

• Experience with Javascript(ES6+)

• Experience with NodeJS

• Package management (eg. Yarn, NPM)

• Understanding of WebSocket and WebRTC

• Understanding of statically typed programming (eg. Typescript)

• Understanding of common Javascript libraries (eg. React, Angular)

• Understanding of state management framework (eg. Redux/MobX)

• Knowledge of CSS pre/post processor

• Experience with Jira and Confluence

• Experience with design tools (eg. Figma, Sketch, Zeplin)

• Experience with frontend build tools (eg. Webpack, Gulp, Rollup)

• Experience with responsive design (e.g Material Design)

Experience

• 5+ years engineering experience

• 2+ years delivering with Agile methodology
