THE OPPORTUNITY
Wavicle Data Solutions is looking for GCP Solution Architects with five plus (5+) years of GCP experience and fifteen plus (15+) industry experience in data and analytics. The role will also be the senior most technologist providing solutions and architectural direction for the rest of the team. The role will support pre-sales/sales initiatives and provide thought leadership for the GCP practice.
WHAT YOU WILL GET TO DO
- Cloud Strategy and Design: Work with clients to understand their business needs and translate them into cloud architecture designs leveraging GCP services (Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, etc.).
- Solution Architecture: Lead the design of scalable, highly available, and secure solutions across various industries, ensuring they align with the client’s technical requirements and best practices.
- Cloud Migration: Provide guidance on cloud migration strategies, assessing existing infrastructure, and creating actionable plans to move workloads to GCP.
- Consulting and Advisory: Serve as the primary technical advisor to clients, recommending best practices for optimizing cloud adoption, security, and cost management.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Implementation Support:Assist in the setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of cloud solutions during the implementation phase, collaborating with other teams to ensure a smooth deployment.
- Innovation: Stay up to date with GCP product updates, new features, and industry trends to help clients leverage the latest technologies.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed solution architecture documentation and design diagrams for client deliverables.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
- 15+ years experience in the industry with majority of it around data and analytics
- 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture based on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Strong knowledge of GCP services (Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, etc.).
- Proficiency in cloud-native technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, etc.).
- Experience with cloud security practices, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and network security.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure, including databases, networking, and storage solutions.
- Certifications: Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect (or similar certification) is highly preferred.
