Ardent is seeking a GIS Technical Analyst to join our team.
This is a remote position.
Position Description:
Ardent is seeking a GIS Technical Analyst to support geospatial applications, data analysis, and system operations for federal government programs. This role focuses on working within ArcGIS environments to perform advanced spatial analysis, support data automation, and produce high-quality geospatial products. The analyst will assist in maintaining geospatial data integrity, supporting system functionality, and enabling mission-driven decision-making. This position requires experience with GIS platforms, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to operate within secure, compliance-driven environments.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Support ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Pro environments to ensure system functionality and performance.
- Perform advanced spatial analysis to support mission and operational requirements.
- Develop and maintain Python and SQL scripts for geospatial data automation and processing.
- Manage and support geospatial datasets within SDE and enterprise data environments.
- Produce maps, visualizations, and geospatial products for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Conduct data validation, quality assurance, and troubleshooting of GIS applications and datasets.
- Support elevated and administrative access functions within GIS systems as required.
- Document workflows, processes, and technical procedures related to GIS operations.
- Communicate technical concepts, findings, and outputs to diverse audiences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support geospatial system improvements and data usability.
Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Active TS/SCI required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 4+ years of experience supporting GIS applications.
- 2+ years of relevant technical experience in geospatial analysis, application support, or data management.
- Experience working with ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Pro.
- Experience performing advanced spatial analysis.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL for data automation and processing.
- Experience working with SDE and enterprise geospatial data environments.
- Experience with data visualization and map production.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage data accuracy.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- DCWF qualification required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ESRI Associate Certification.
- Experience supporting federal or government geospatial programs.
- Experience working in secure or compliance-driven environments.
