Job Description SummaryThe Lead, Global Clinical Strategy - Pulmonary supports the development and execution of clinical strategies that drive product innovation, market adoption, and evidence generation across global markets.
This role connects clinical expertise with business needs to ensure products deliver strong clinical outcomes and maintain competitive positioning within the lung / pulmonary space.
This sub-business unit is known as our Surgical Visualization and Guidance team. SVG is committed to designing active imaging systems that help surgeons visualize anatomy and lesions, guide interventions and navigate inside the human body. Our Mission at SVG is to change the standard of care in surgical intervention with real time visual guidance, giving surgeons the information needed to immediately make critical decisions.

Job DescriptionStrategic Execution
  • Implement global clinical strategies aligned with company goals and market opportunities.
  • Translate clinical insights into actionable product requirements, collaborating with Product Management and R&D.
  • Monitor emerging clinical trends and unmet needs for future growth opportunities.
  • Support executive leadership in shaping product roadmap and portfolio strategy.
     
Clinical Evidence Generation
  • Design and manage clinical research programs to demonstrate product efficacy, safety, and value in corporation with clinical research organization.
  • Establish clinical endpoints and study methodologies that resonate with stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with clinical research organizations and principal investigators.
  • Ensure clinical studies meet regulatory requirements across target markets.
     
Medical Advisory Board Support
  • Assist in establishing and facilitating global and regional Medical Advisory Boards.
  • Help develop agendas that maximize advisory board impact on product strategy.
  • Support recruitment of clinical experts as advisors.
  • Synthesize advisory board insights into recommendations for the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations regarding healthcare professional interactions.
     
Market Development & Clinical Advocacy
  • Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and clinical thought leaders.
  • Develop and deliver clinical education programs to drive adoption of new ultrasound applications.
  • Represent the company at medical conferences and industry events.
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop clinically compelling messaging and content.
     
Business Impact
  • Translate clinical value into economic value propositions for healthcare stakeholders.
  • Monitor competitive clinical positioning and support differentiation strategies.
  • Contribute to pricing and reimbursement strategies based on clinical evidence.
  • Provide clinical input to business development for partnership and acquisition opportunities.
     
Qualifications
  • Advanced clinical degree (MD, PhD, MBBS, or equivalent) in a relevant medical specialty.
  • 5+ years of experience in the medical device or diagnostic imaging industry.
  • Experience supporting clinical strategy for product portfolios.
  • Experience managing clinical research programs and evidence generation.
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time.
     
Knowledge & Skills
  • Understanding of ultrasound applications across clinical specialties.
  • Knowledge of clinical workflow, healthcare economics, and care delivery models.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for clinical evidence in major markets.
  • Experience working with KOLs and clinical advocacy programs.
     
Business Acumen
  • Understanding of product lifecycle management and commercialization processes.
  • Ability to balance clinical excellence with business objectives.
  • Experience with budget management and resource allocation.
  • Awareness of global healthcare markets and clinical practice variations.
     
Success Metrics
  • Execution of clinical strategies that drive product adoption.
  • Generation of clinical evidence supporting product claims.
  • Establishment of strong KOL relationships and advocacy network.
  • Integration of clinical insights into product development.
  • Successful Medical Advisory Board meetings that guide product strategy.

We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening. For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $142,400.00-$213,600.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). GE HealthCare offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, and tuition reimbursement.
