Company Description

Sensia is looking for a highly organized operations professional to provide effective leadership, strategy and coordination of the IT services provided for Sensia by its service providers. This position is a key role in the company's efforts to drive efficiencies for its employees, enhance the end-user experience and drive the “start-up” / small agile company culture.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for the oversight of all day-to-day IT operations for Sensia and work closely with the service providers to deploy continuous improvements as Sensia evolves and grows.

Job Description

Duties

Functional

  • Coordinate IT operations with the service providers to ensure delivery of timely and effective IT services that operate at a high level of stability and efficiency.

  • Work with the IT service provider to optimize and improve local company networks and servers.

  • Manage installations and upgrades of IT systems at Sensia facilities in close coordination with Global Real Estate Project Manager.

  • Be the single point of contact for IT escalations.

  • Ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner by the service provider.

  • Provide support and guidance to Sensia employees globally.

  • Oversee end user device inventory, replacement and delivery to users.

  • Oversee the management, procurement and licensing of computer software applications driving common standards and best practises.

  • Develop and coordinate manufacturing OT practises in coordination with parent company experience.

  • Ensure backup of information and data to ensure recovery in event of system breakdown.

  • Establish periodic operations reviews and reports.

  • Reasonably challenge established standards to ensure that the correct technology is being applied for the best interests of Sensia.

  • Be able to evaluate new technologies to advance deliverables.

  • Excellent analytical skills & attention to detail.

  • Develop and execute regular IT operations review with service.

Leadership

  • Execute technical and interpersonal skills.

  • Develop and evolve Sensia specific IT policies and practices in coordination with Sensia Cyber Security Office.

  • Effectively resolve conflict service provider to meet business goals.

  • Independently identify, manage and mitigate risks, resulting in proactive contingency planning as required.

  • Persevere through obstacles to achieve results and remove obstacles to facilitate Sensia success.

  • Demonstrate confidence, maturity and flexibility in response to work challenges.

  • Self-directed leader with ability to work with cross functional/global teams.

  • Provide early and clear escalation of critical issues.

  • Clear effective communication across all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to integrate business needs with corporate policies and industry best practice.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proven operation management experience.

  • Problem-solving aptitude.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or other relevant field.

  • Willingness to travel globally as required.

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • IT Leadership experience.

  • Experience managing out-sourced IT / other operations.

  • Experience with system installation, configuration and analysis.

  • Power Platform knowledge and experience in technologies like Power BI, Power Apps and Power Automate is desirable.

  • Microsoft Azure and Office 365 certifications or proven experience.

  • Knowledge of data protection operations and legislation (e.g. GDPR).
