This is a part-time, contractor, as-needed position.


Requirements
  • 2+ years hands-on experience with Google Tag Manager (Web, Server-Side is a plus)
  • Strong understanding of GTM fundamentals: tags, triggers, variables, dataLayer, custom templates
  • Solid JavaScript knowledge, especially as it applies to GTM custom scripts
  • Experience with GA4 event architecture and enhanced measurement configurations
  • Ability to debug tracking issues across browser, network tab, and console
  • Familiarity with major ad platform pixels (Meta, LinkedIn, Google Ads, Bing, StackAdapt, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail and methodical QA approach
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks asynchronously
Key Responsibilities
  • Implement, test, and deploy tags, triggers, and variables within Google Tag Manager
  • Troubleshoot tracking issues, dataLayer problems, and sequencing/timing issues
  • Write and maintain lightweight JavaScript for GTM-based solutions
  • Debug and refine custom scripts used for form validation, lead tracking, cookie compliance, and other client-specific requirements
  • Assist with GA4 configurations, custom event setup, and dataLayer design
  • Audit existing GTM containers and recommend improvements
  • Support privacy compliance setups (e.g., Consent Mode, CMP integrations)
  • Communicate findings clearly and document work within internal workflows (Asana, Slack, etc.)

Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Experience with Marketo, HubSpot, Pardot, or other marketing automation platforms
  • Experience with server-side tagging environments
  • Understanding of cookie compliance and Consent Mode
  • Familiarity with WordPress, Webflow, or other CMS platforms
  • Light experience with HTML/CSS for QA
  • Experience working with distributed or agency teams

Benefits

Position: Contractor 

Location: Remote

Pay: $60 - $70/hr (depending on experience)
