Progressive Leasing is a leading provider of in-store and e-commerce lease-to-own solutions. With more than 20 years in FinTech, we’ve grown from start-up to industry leader by innovating, simplifying, and valuing people. We are a subsidiary of PROG Holdings (NYSE: PRG), a FinTech holding company with three business segments: Progressive Leasing, Purchasing Power (a leading employee purchase program for consumer products and services using payroll deduction), and Four, a Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) platform.

We are hiring a Group Product Manager, B2B APIs to define and scale our next‑generation API ecosystem — powering seamless integrations with retailers, enterprise partners, and external developers.

This role is a work from home position and can be performed remotely anywhere in the continental US or in our corporate office in Draper, Utah.

Employee Value Proposition (EVP): PROG is dedicated to providing people with opportunity; opportunity for inclusive collaboration, opportunity for innovation, and opportunity for development.

WE ARE: Prog Tech embodies the modern and transformational vision that is core to our business evolution. We take pride in engineering excellence, daily progress, and bringing others with us as we build the future.

YOU ARE: A strategic product leader responsible for defining the API product vision, enabling developers and partners, and driving execution across engineering and business teams.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:

Platform Strategy & Leadership

  • Define the 3–5 year vision and roadmap for Progressive’s API platform, aligned with company strategy and future platform growth.

  • Own the API product portfolio and prioritization across internal and external consumers.

  • Act as the primary product authority for Progressive’s API platform.

API Product Ownership

  • Lead the end-to-end API lifecycle including discovery, design, development, launch, versioning, and deprecation.

  • Establish and own API governance, including design standards, documentation quality, security practices, and lifecycle policies.

  • Ensure APIs are intuitive, secure, well-documented, and easy for partners and internal teams to adopt.

Partner & Retailer Enablement

  • Partner closely with Retail Operations, engineering, sales, and customer success to enable retailer integrations at scale.

  • Understand retailer technical constraints and integration friction, translating those insights into scalable platform capabilities rather than bespoke solutions.

  • Build and maintain reusable integration standards, best practices, and developer enablement resources.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with engineering, architecture, security, compliance, legal, analytics, marketing, and go-to-market teams.

  • Partner with risk and compliance teams to ensure APIs are designed for regulated fintech environments.

  • Support enterprise and strategic partnerships with technical diligence and platform storytelling.

Metrics, Reliability & Continuous Improvement

  • Define, track, and optimize KPIs such as API adoption, usage, latency, error rates, reliability, and partner satisfaction.

  • Participate in incident reviews impacting partners and drive product-level improvements and roadmap adjustments.

  • Continuously refine the platform based on data, feedback, and business outcomes.

People Leadership

  • Manage and mentor product managers responsible for individual APIs or platform surfaces.

  • Establish product management standards, rituals, and best practices across the API portfolio.

  • Develop PMs to own day-to-day execution while this role focuses on platform strategy, governance, and scale.

Retail Operations owns external, retailer-facing APIs, workflows and onboarding experiences, while the API Platform team owns the underlying programmatic access and extensibility that enable those experiences.

YOU'LL BRING:

  • 5+ years product leadership experience in B2B SaaS, platforms, payments, fintech, or API-focused roles.

  • 3+ years leading products involving technical integrations (SDKs, APIs, plug-ins).

  • Strong understanding of REST, OAuth, API keys, cloud technologies, and CI/CD.

  • Proven ability to define and communicate strategic roadmaps.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field.

  • AI‑enabled tools are already part of how work gets done across our organization, and their use will continue to expand over time. We value people who are curious, adaptable, and open to learning as roles and workflows evolve.
