Cresta unlocks the true potential of the customer experience, turning every conversation into a competitive advantage. Cresta’s unified AI platform combines conversational AI agents, real-time human agent augmentation, and comprehensive conversation intelligence to drive revenue and efficiency gains across every channel. The world’s leading companies, including United Airlines, Cox Communications, and Marriott, use Cresta to power world-class customer experiences every day.

Born from the Stanford AI Lab, Cresta has raised more than $270 million from the world’s leading investors, including a16z, Greylock, and Sequoia. Cresta’s leadership includes some of the leading minds in AI today. Our CEO, Ping Wu, founded and led Google's Contact Center AI and Vertex AI platforms before joining Cresta to build the future of AI-driven customer experiences.

Over the next few years, AI is going to redefine how people all over the world interact with businesses every day. Come build that future at Cresta.

Role Overview:

Search is changing. Enterprise buyers now ask ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews which Customer Experience AI platforms to evaluate, often before they ever visit a vendor's website. Your job is to make sure Cresta shows up in those answers, shows up accurately, and turns that visibility into pipeline.

You'll join Cresta's Growth Marketing team, reporting to Devan Tremblay, Head of SEO, and working alongside our Content Marketing Manager on a small team that treats organic search and AI discovery as a core pipeline channel, not a content calendar. Our priorities are clear: win the comparison and evaluation queries buyers use to build their shortlists, build authority in our core industries (financial services, travel and hospitality, telecom and home services, and insurance), and turn AEO into a measurable new source of pipeline.

Youwill own day-to-day execution of Cresta's Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and SEO program. Roughly 70 to 80 percent of your time goes to scaling organic search and AI visibility. The rest goes to growth experiments on new acquisition channels and conversion levers.

This is a high-ownership, hands-on role. You will run the systems that make Cresta's organic engine work: the AI content workflows, the technical foundation, the measurement, and the testing roadmap. The Content Marketing Manager leads writing; you own how that content gets found, cited, and converted. You will also work with web development, product marketing, demand generation, and revenue operations, and report results straight to marketing leadership.

What you'll do

AEO and organic search

  • Grow Cresta's visibility, citation share, and narrative accuracy across ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews through content structure, schema, entity consistency, and third-party mentions.
  • Own our AirOps workflows for content briefs, refreshes, and optimization, and keep improving them so a small team ships more without lowering the bar.
  • Run the content refresh pipeline: spot decaying pages in Google Search Console and Ahrefs, diagnose the cause, and partner with the Content Marketing Manager to brief and ship fixes.
  • Restructure high-impression pages for AI answers: answer-first sections, self-contained answer passages, FAQ and list schema, and clear relationships between products, use cases, and industries.
  • Lead technical SEO across crawlability, indexation, rendering, internal linking, redirects, canonicalization, and site architecture. Work directly in our Webflow CMS to ship fixes, and partner with web development on larger changes.
  • Build an off-site presence program across review platforms, analyst and industry directories, third-party roundups, partner pages, and communities where answer engines source their information.
  • Make sure every product launch and rename gets organic coverage from day one, working with product marketing on URLs, redirects, schema, and answer content.
  • Turn questions from sales calls, support conversations, community threads, and search data into a prioritized answer backlog written in the buyer's own language.

Growth experimentation

  • Design, launch, and read out experiments on emerging acquisition channels, such as community and Reddit, and on landing page and website conversion from organic traffic.
  • Write a hypothesis and success metric before every test launches, then make a clear call to scale it or kill it.

Measurement and reporting

  • Own measurement across non-branded visibility, organic and AI-referred traffic, AI citations and share of voice, and influenced pipeline.
  • Build dashboards that catch ranking drops, indexing issues, crawl anomalies, and technical regressions before they cost us traffic.
  • Connect search and answer engine visibility to pipeline in HubSpot, and keep measured data and modeled estimates clearly separated.
  • Stay ahead of changes in search and AI discovery, and turn them into a clear point of view and a prioritized roadmap.

What success looks like

  • First 90 days: You own the content refresh pipeline and AirOps workflows end to end, have shipped your first round of answer-first page rebuilds, and run a recurring AI visibility report that leadership reads.
  • First 6 months: You run the AEO testing roadmap independently, have launched at least two growth experiments outside organic search, and can show which pages and channels are driving pipeline.
  • First 12 months: You are the go-to person for how Cresta shows up in AI answers, and the program you run is a repeatable, measurable growth channel.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements below. If you do, please apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement. If you are coming from an adjacent team and have been teaching yourself AEO on the side, we want to hear from you.

Minimum requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in SEO, growth marketing, or other organic growth roles, with hands-on ownership of a live website.
  • A track record of growing organic traffic and pipeline or signups, not just rankings.
  • Hands-on experience with AEO or GEO, including how AI assistants retrieve, summarize, and cite content, plus at least one project or test you can walk us through, including self-directed ones.
  • Technical SEO fluency and comfort shipping changes yourself: HTML basics, schema markup, and working inside a CMS.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Search Console, Ahrefs or Semrush, and GA4, plus an AI visibility tool such as Ahrefs Brand Radar or Profound.
  • Experience defining metrics, building dashboards, and using data to prioritize work, including reconciling conflicting sources and forming your own conclusion.
  • Clear, precise writing. You can write a brief a writer can execute without a follow-up meeting, and an answer passage an LLM can quote.
  • A high bar for quality and full ownership from idea through implementation and measurement.

Preferred qualifications

  • In-house SEO or growth experience at a B2B SaaS company with an enterprise sales motion or a technically complex product.
  • Experience with AirOps or building content workflows with LLMs like Claude or ChatGPT.
  • Experience with Webflow, HubSpot, or multi-touch attribution.
  • Experience with crawl and log analysis tools, programmatic pages, or scaled content operations.
  • SQL or Python skills for pulling and analyzing data on your own.
  • Experience running conversion rate or community channel experiments, including Reddit.
  • Exposure to customer experience, customer support, or contact center operations.
Perks & Benefits:

We offer a comprehensive and people-first benefits package to support you at work and in life:

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage with plans to fit you and your family
  • Flexible PTO to take the time you need, when you need it
  • Paid parental leave for all new parents welcoming a new child
  • Retirement savings plan to help you plan for the future
  • Remote work setup budget to help you create a productive home office
  • Monthly wellness and communication stipend to keep you connected and balanced
  • In-office meal program and commuter benefits provided for onsite employees
