About Rundoo ℹ️

Our mission is to empower independent supply stores with best-in-class technology. Think of your local hardware store or mom-and-pop nursery—these are our clients. From paint to lumber to flooring, over 200,000 such stores across the country sell over $1T of building materials annually using outdated, on-premises systems. We’re aiming to help them modernize so that they can continue to thrive.

Backed by leading investors including Bessemer and CRV, we've raised $18M across three rounds and are growing quickly. Our team is made up of builders, sellers, and industry veterans with a shared goal: to bring modern technology to an overlooked industry.

About the role 💼

You'll be based out of Chicago and own full-cycle recruiting for Rundoo's GTM org. With 35+ GTM roles on the 2026 plan — majority Chicago-based — you'll be the dedicated recruiter building and closing the sales and CX talent pipeline that fuels our growth. You'll source proactively, manage candidates end-to-end, and partner directly with GTM hiring managers to move quickly and hire well.

You will join a small but mighty Talent team led by Elena (Head of Talent) and work alongside Amanda, our current Recruiter. Your primary focus is on GTM roles in Chicago — AEs, BDRs, and related positions — with the flexibility to support the broader org as recruiting needs evolve. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment, loves building pipelines from scratch, and brings genuine energy to finding great people.

What you’ll do as the GTM Recruter at Rundoo 🗒️
  • Own full-cycle recruiting for GTM roles: source, screen, schedule, and close candidates for AE, BDR, Implementation, and related positions — primarily Chicago-based

  • Build proactive pipelines: develop sourcing strategies that go beyond job boards — LinkedIn, industry networks, events, referrals, and creative outreach that actually works

  • Partner with GTM hiring managers: work closely with the Head of Sales and Sales Managers to understand what great looks like for each role and help the team make quality hires fast

  • Deliver a great candidate experience: ensure every candidate gets a timely, thoughtful, and professional process from first outreach to offer

  • Keep Ashby (our ATS) clean and up to date: maintain accurate pipeline data and stage hygiene so the team has full visibility into what's moving and what's stuck

  • Support the broader org as capacity allows: flex across other functions — CX, G&A, or R&D — as recruiting needs evolve across the company

Requirements ✅
  • Based in Chicago with flexibility to work from our office 4 days per week

  • 3–5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally with a focus on GTM or sales roles at a fast-growing company

  • Proven sourcer: demonstrated ability to build candidate pipelines from scratch, not just manage inbound

  • Excellent communicator — with candidates, hiring managers, and teammates

  • Comfortable managing multiple open reqs simultaneously without dropping the ball on candidate or hiring manager experience

  • Experience working in an ATS (Ashby preferred, or similar)

Bonus points 🌟
  • Experience recruiting at a high-growth startup (Series A or B preferred)

  • Background recruiting for B2B SaaS or vertical software sales roles

  • Deep knowledge of the Chicago talent market — you know where to find great GTM talent here

  • Experience building or improving recruiting infrastructure (interview frameworks, scorecards, sourcing playbooks)

Compensation 💵
  • Salary: $115k to $137k

  • Equity: 0.0097% - 0.0115%

About the team 👥
  1. Elena (Head of Talent): Talent leader who built recruiting teams and people infrastructure from zero at multiple high-growth startups; 3x Talent100 Global TA Leader and Forbes HR Council member. Aspiring carpenter, on a continuous exploration of varying and random hobbies and interests. 🐼

  2. Amanda (Recruiter): Studied Marketing at DLSU; recruited for a couple of Bay Area startups; loves hiking & scuba diving!

  3. Matt (Head of Sales): Studied history at Northwestern; taught middle school in Chicago (hardest job ever), led sales for a consumer start-up (Catch Co.), joined Rundoo as an AE and now leads the GTM team; former competitive angler in college (bass fishing 🎣)

Interview Process 🎤
  1. Intro Call (30 mins) – Initial call to learn more about Rundoo, the role and each other

  2. Round 1 (45 mins) – Recruiting background deep dive with Elena

  3. Paid Assignment (~2-3 hours) – We’ll share more information about Rundoo and ask you to design a sourcing strategy

  4. Onsite (~4 hours, in-person) – Assignment Q&A and meet key GTM hiring managers

  5. Final Call (15 mins) – Conversation with Nick (CEO)

  6. References - One manager, one peer

About our founders 🌲
  1. Andrew (CTO): studied computer science & humanities at Stanford; worked as a software engineer and head of engineering at Apple & Anova; danced with the SF ballet (where he met his wife)! 🩰

How we've fundraised 💰

  1. A $2m pre-seed led by Kent Bennett at Bessemer with participation from Plug & Play, Quiet Capital, and Sequoia.

  2. A $5m seed led by Caitlin Bolnick Rellas at CRV.

  3. An $11m series A led again by Bessemer and CRV.
