About IBBX:
IBBX Wireless Energy is at the forefront of developing breakthrough technology that delivers wireless electricity. The company has created and patented protocols that allow energy harvesting from electromagnetic waves; IBBX also produces an integrated circuit that executes such harvesting. It is the first real step into eliminating cables and vastly reducing battery sizes in electronic devices.

With a current team of 70+ dedicated professionals, IBBX is in a phase of rapid growth, experiencing significant year-over-year expansion. Our culture is grounded in values of efficiency, respect, and diversity, and we are on a mission to attract, develop, and retain world-class talent aligned with our vision of creating impactful and world-changing innovations.

The first adopters of our technology are industries that rely on predictive maintenance of their production parks.

Our first product is the IBBX Retina Suite for industry 4.0, a set of sensors that feed from the machine’s (wasted) electromagnetic energy, and they just work – no cable, no battery replacement. They also happen to speak a proprietary wireless data protocol that is optimized for long distances, ideal for large industrial and agricultural environments. It may seem a bit too techie, we know, but all this is to explain why our Retina Suite has a line of clients waiting to acquire it, an example of how successful we can be in the near future.

Role Overview:

IBBX is looking for a Product Designer with experience in small-scale hardware design, preferably someone who has worked with Internet of Things (IoT) projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating innovative and efficient hardware solutions, focusing on compact and connected devices, ensuring that the designs meet the highest standards of functionality, usability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Small-Scale Hardware Development:

  • Design and develop compact hardware projects, with a focus on connected devices for IoT applications.

  • Work on all stages of design, from concept to prototyping and validation.

2. IoT and Connectivity Projects:

  • Design integrated IoT devices, considering connectivity and energy efficiency.

  • Apply hardware design principles to optimize device performance and durability.

3. Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

  • Seek creative and innovative solutions to hardware design challenges, balancing functionality and aesthetics.

  • Evaluate and implement the latest trends in hardware technologies, including IoT.

4. Multidisciplinary Collaboration:

  • Work closely with software engineering teams and other technical teams to ensure seamless hardware integration with software solutions.

  • Participate in design reviews and provide feedback for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:
  • Experience in small-scale industrial design, with preferably some experience in IoT projects.

  • Knowledge of prototyping and validation.

  • Familiarity with platforms and technologies for connected devices.

  • Proficiency with electronic design software (such as CAD tools, Altium, Eagle).

  • Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.

Why Join IBBX?

At IBBX, you’ll have the opportunity to work with innovative teams on cutting-edge projects, creating technological solutions that directly impact users’ lives.
