About the role

We’ve outgrown our flat engineering org chart. We need a servant-leader who can run the shop day-to-day while our CTO steers vision, leads R&D, and builds our team’s reputation externally.

What You Will Do
  • People and performance management: 1:1s, growth, feedback, reviews

  • Execution and delivery: ensuring we reach ambitious goals efficiently and effectively

  • Scale the team: owns the hiring process, pipeline and onboarding

  • Coordination and alignment: with Product, Design and the rest of the business

  • Engineering excellence: observability, on-call, CI/CD, incidents, tackling tech debt

What We’re Looking For

Must haves

  • 3+ years leading 8-20 engineers, inc. remote

  • Culture builder: hires, coaches, levels-up and retains top talent

  • Proven player-coach: still comfortable diving into code review and technical design

  • Track record shipping 0-1 and scaling ambitious products and features

Nice-to-have

  • Has grown orgs through Series B/C to 30-40 engineers

  • Elixir, BEAM or functional programming expertise

  • Experience in finance or fintech domain

  • Presence and reputation in the community
