We are seeking a Head of Marketing - ThinkTrader to join our global leadership team in Chicago. This is a role for someone who believes that the future of marketing is AI-augmented. You will have full ownership of marketing strategy and execution for ThinkTrader, with a clear mandate to accelerate retail trader acquisition, drive measurable growth, and build a high-performing, scalable marketing function that leverages AI tools and agentic workflows to operate at scale with a lean team.
This is a strategic leadership position suited to a highly technical, data-driven marketing executive with expertise in marketing technology , customer journeys, audience modelling, creative and AI.
This role is based in our Chicago office (hybrid, approximately 3 days per week in-office), providing direct access to executive leadership and proximity to our CEO.
Key Responsibilities
Acquisition & Growth Strategy
- Define and execute a global acquisition strategy to drive retail trader growth with cross functional domain knowledge spanning performance marketing, brand, creative, campaign and automation.
- Own the full marketing funnel from awareness through to funded and active trader, optimizing conversion rates, retention, and lifetime value at each stage.
- Lead performance marketing initiatives across paid media, programmatic, SEM, mobile app marketing, affiliates, and strategic partnerships, with clear accountability for CAC, LTV, funnel performance, and return on spend
- Demonstrate working knowledge of Google Marketing Platform (GMP) stack including Google Ads, DV360, Campaign Manager, and Google Analytics.
- Lead mobile app strategy, including ASO, app install campaigns, and in-app engagement optimization.
Team Leadership & Operational Excellence
- Build and lead a small, high-performing marketing team, prioritizing efficiency and leveraging AI tools and automation to maximize output and scalability.
- Act as the senior marketing stakeholder for ThinkTrader, collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams.
- Manage and allocate marketing budgets effectively, ensuring ROI-driven execution at scale.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience with a track record of marketing a trading platform, fintech product, or similar offering.
- Hands-on experience leading data-driven acquisition initiatives across performance marketing, growth funnels, attribution, and lifecycle marketing for platforms or mobile applications.
- Demonstrated ability to build and scale efficient marketing teams, with a strong orientation toward AI and automation.
- Strong analytical mindset with practical experience using performance, attribution, and marketing automation tools.
- A technical foundation is preferred, with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or another quantitative discipline, alongside strong marketing expertise.
- Willingness to work hybrid from the Chicago office (approximately 3 days per week in-office).
