Lead the marketing strategy and execution for Celestia, overseeing brand positioning, growth initiatives, and institutional adoption. Responsible for content creation, campaign development, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance market presence.
About Celestia Labs
Celestia is the first modular L1 blockchain, built for the extreme speed and specialization required to take crypto mainstream. Today, more than 30 networks across exchanges, real-world assets, and consumer applications are built on Celestia’s foundation.
About the Team
The Celestia Labs Team is remote first and highly distributed, with English as our primary language for communication. We are looking for self-starters that are excited about working in a fast-paced startup environment.
Much of the team lives and works in the European timezones. As such, team members are expected to be available as needed for scheduled team meetings between the general hours of 1pm-6pm CET.
About You
Celestia Labs is looking for an experienced Head of Marketing to lead our marketing strategy and execution as we scale institutional adoption and ecosystem growth. This role will own brand positioning, product marketing, and growth initiatives that drive awareness among developers, enterprises, and institutions globally. You'll be responsible for building and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy that positions Celestia as leading blockchain infrastructure - and you'll be the one executing it. The ideal candidate is a rare blend of strategic thinker and hands-on executor: someone with exceptional taste who can craft compelling marketing strategies and creative direction, then roll up their sleeves to bring them to life through outstanding written content, website updates, campaigns, and more. This is a rebuilding opportunity. You'll inherit a clean slate to build the right strategy, processes, and creative direction from the ground up. This is a lean marketing function - you'll be both the strategist and the executor, working cross-functionally to deliver high-quality work across all channels.
Candidates must be based in EST or European time zones (relocation support available).
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute Celestia's global marketing strategy across brand, product, and growth.
- Own both strategy and execution - from crafting creative campaigns to writing blog posts, social content, and website copy yourself.
- Drive ecosystem awareness and developer adoption through targeted campaigns, content, and community engagement.
- Build institutional credibility through thought leadership, strategic positioning, and tailored messaging for enterprise and financial services audiences.
- Own product marketing - translating Celestia's technical value proposition into clear, compelling narratives for different stakeholder groups.
- Lead growth marketing initiatives including performance marketing, partnerships, events strategy, and digital channels to expand reach and engagement.
- Write high-quality content across formats: blog posts, tweets, email campaigns, landing pages, and more. Strong writing skills are essential.
- Coordinate with external partners (e.g., design agencies) to execute website updates, creative assets, and campaign materials while maintaining creative direction and quality control.
- Develop and manage conference and events strategy to maximize Celestia's visibility and engagement with key audiences.
- Collaborate closely with BD, engineering, and ecosystem teams to align marketing efforts with business priorities and technical roadmap.
- Track marketing performance, optimize campaigns, and report on key metrics tied to ecosystem growth and business objectives.
Who You Are
- 5+ years of marketing experience with a strong track record of both strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
- Exceptional marketing taste and creativity - you know what great marketing looks like and can develop innovative strategies and campaigns.
- Outstanding written communication skills - you can write compelling, clear content for diverse audiences (blog posts, social media, product messaging, etc.).
- Demonstrated success building and executing marketing strategies that drive measurable growth (awareness, adoption, engagement).
- Strong storytelling and positioning skills - you can take complex technical concepts and make them accessible and compelling.
- Experience across multiple marketing disciplines: brand, product marketing, growth/performance marketing, content, and events.
- Hands-on executor who thrives in a lean environment - you're comfortable working independently and doing both the thinking and the doing.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment with limited resources and high ambiguity.
- Self-starter who can build from the ground up - strategy, execution, creative direction, and processes.
- Crypto/web3 experience is a plus but not required - we value great marketing talent regardless of industry background.
- You're energized by the opportunity to rebuild and define what great marketing looks like at Celestia.
Perks
- Flexible and remote work environment with multiple onsites each year
- Competitive salary and meaningful long-term compensation package
- Stipends for home office, coworking space, professional and personal growth
- 4 weeks annual vacation
- Being part of a collaborative, supportive team with opportunities for mentorship and professional growth
- 401k and healthcare coverage for US team members
While experience in the blockchain space is preferred – having general excitement about web3 and modular blockchain technology is a must!
