The Opportunity
We are seeking a visionary and execution oriented Head of Product to help shape the next chapter of our product journey.
You will serve as a strategic and hands on leader, guiding the evolution of our long term product vision while building on the strong foundation that has fueled our growth. You will bring deep customer empathy and market insight to your work, ensuring our platform not only responds to the needs of modern alternative education but evolves ahead of them.
From discovery through delivery and adoption, you will help translate bold ideas into practical, scalable innovation. Working closely with Engineering, Customer Success, Sales, and Executive Leadership, you will modernize and strengthen our platform while thoughtfully advancing the use of emerging technologies to create meaningful new value for our clients and the educators and students they serve.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and articulate a compelling, future-forward product vision aligned with School Pathways’ mission and growth strategy
- Own and maintain the product roadmap, balancing innovation, scalability, customer value, and technical feasibility
- Lead customer discovery through direct engagement with schools, administrators, educators, and internal teams
- Translate customer needs, regulatory requirements, and market trends into clear product requirements and priorities
- Partner closely with Engineering to ensure strong execution, quality, and velocity
- Champion innovation, including emerging technologies (AI, automation, analytics) that can transform school operations
- Establish product success metrics and ensure continuous feedback loops post-launch
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing on product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies
- Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing product organization over time
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience leading product strategy for a SaaS platform, ideally in education or a highly regulated industry
- Strong track record of delivering innovative products that solve real customer problems
- Experience driving AI first or intelligence driven product innovation, with the ability to translate emerging technologies into practical, high value solutions
- Deep understanding of product discovery, development, and roadmap prioritization
- Ability to think big-picture while also diving into details when needed
- Customer mindset with strong qualitative and quantitative decision-making skills
- Excellent communication skills and executive presence
The expected base salary for this position is: USD $150,000 - $200,000 excluding annual bonus and equity (when applicable). Salary is based on a number of factors including market conditions, location and may vary depending on job-related skills and experience.
