Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Sales to establish and lead our new branch in Kampala. This role will be pivotal in building Credify’s presence in the region, serving as a hub for customer engagement, sales operations, and issue resolution. The Head of Sales will play a crucial role in driving customer satisfaction, scaling sales operations, ensuring the branch’s success and leveraging CRM systems and data analytics to make informed, data-driven decisions that enhance sales performance and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Branch Leadership

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the branch to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.

  • Foster a welcoming and professional environment for walk-in customers.

  • Develop and implement strategies to meet branch objectives.

Sales Leadership

  • Lead and grow the regional sales team to achieve revenue targets and business growth.

  • Develop sales strategies to acquire, retain, and grow Credify’s customer base.

  • Build relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders in the region.

  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.

Customer Engagement

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, complaints, and escalations.

  • Work closely with teams to resolve customer complaints and ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Actively engage with customers to build trust and loyalty while using analytics to predict customer needs and trends.

Team Management

  • Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team of sales and support staff.

  • Set clear performance goals and provide ongoing coaching and mentorship and use CRM dashboards and analytics to monitor team performance and provide data-backed feedback.

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and customer-centricity.

Operational Excellence

  • Implement and optimize systems and processes to improve efficiency and service delivery.

  • Collaborate with Credify’s HQ teams to align on operational and sales strategies.

  • Provide regular performance updates, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership using data visualizations and analytics.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus).

  • 8+ years of experience in sales, business development, or customer-facing roles, preferably in logistics, trade, or financial services.

  • Proven track record of leading and scaling sales teams.

  • Proficiency in using CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) and data analytics tools to monitor and enhance sales performance.

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • Familiarity with the African import-export market is an advantage.
