Do work that matters.

At AlertMedia, we help organizations protect their people, operations, and brand. Our modern Risk Intelligence and Response platform empowers teams to detect emerging threats, assess impact, and respond with confidence. We believe building resilience should be simpler—and it starts with bringing critical information and workflows together in one unified platform.

Our core values drive us in our important mission of keeping people safe & informed:

  • We’re humans not robots
  • Customers always come first
  • We work better together
  • Simplicity is our strength
  • Our reputation is priceless
  • Hard work pays off

AlertMedia is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to join our growing People team in our beautiful downtown Austin headquarters!  Our People team provides a world-class HR experience from the candidate interview stage to the new hire orientation and throughout their career at AlertMedia. You will partner with our business leaders to develop and execute Human Resources priorities that enable business goals and enhance the employee experience. This role will directly support our Engineering and Product organizations and will play a key role in bringing our total rewards strategy to life across the organization. You will collaborate with professionals in the HR, Talent Acquisition and Learning & Development teams to deliver on People initiatives across AlertMedia. We are looking for an experienced professional who will not only partner with business leaders but also identify and drive appropriate solutions that are aligned with our overall culture and values.

Who you are:

You have strong HRBP experience and would consider yourself a flexible, adaptable, and proactive team player. You build trust quickly with technical leaders. Engineering and product teams see you as a partner embedded in their world, not an outside function issuing mandates. Supporting others and keeping employee experience at the forefront of your decisions while also being discerning as to what is best for the business is where you thrive. When you disagree with a leader, you work it through collaboratively, backed by data, grounded in relationship and business context, not just policy citation. You enjoy collaborating across teams and have strong influencing skills which you can apply across all levels of the organization. Your strengths include business and data acumen, executive coaching, excellent communication, strategic thinking, and project management. You use data as a foundation for your recommendations, and you feel extremely comfortable in Excel. You embrace AI-powered tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, or similar technologies to improve productivity, analyze data, streamline workflows, and enhance decision-making while maintaining sound HR judgment. You understand balancing competing priorities and conflicting opinions to facilitate the best decisions for employees and the business, in an environment of ambiguity and rapid change. Your mantra is "we're all in this together" and you are a true team player who is willing to jump in, roll up your sleeves and help wherever needed.

What you get to do every day:

  • Partner with senior leaders and their leadership teams to develop department talent strategies needed to support our tremendous growth
  • Function as a consultant and counselor to key leaders and their respective organizations
  • Partner with the business on organizational design, workforce planning, talent review, performance management, and skills assessment and development
  • Own the implementation of career architecture and leveling frameworks with leaders, translating total rewards strategy (set by the People leadership team) into structures your client groups understand, adopt, and use consistently
  • Ensure leveling, promotion criteria, and compensation messaging are applied consistently across HRBPs and client groups; you are a driver of shared standards, not a siloed operator
  • Create, review, and analyze business metrics including retention, employee experience, performance management, and employee trends in order to recommend improvements
  • Leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to improve People team processes, generate insights from workforce data, automate administrative tasks where appropriate, and identify opportunities to enhance the employee experience
  • Work with line managers and employees to address various employee relations issues; conduct thorough investigations, mitigate risks, and provide fair and equitable best practices
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Act as a trusted, expert HR resource for employees, with a high level of discretion and confidentiality

What you bring to the role:

  • 2-5 years of HRBP experience in a technology company, with majority in the software tech industry; SaaS experience preferred
  • Demonstrated experience directly supporting Engineering and/or Product leaders as an embedded HRBP — not solely recruiting for or adjacent to these functions. Experience with shift-based teams is a plus.
  • Direct ownership experience with compensation and leveling — building or administering career architecture, job leveling frameworks, or comp bands, not solely feeding data into someone else's model
  • Familiarity with international compensation complexity, particularly Mexico and/or Brazil, is a plus
  • Experience in a fast-paced, rapid growth organization
  • Demonstrated experience using AI tools to improve efficiency, enhance analysis, solve business problems, and increase productivity. Curiosity and enthusiasm for adopting emerging AI technologies in HR are highly valued.
  • Demonstrated achievements in coaching, influencing and problem solving
  • Strong judgment and experience coaching senior leaders
  • Broad experience and knowledge of various aspects of human resources, including employee relations, learning, and performance
  • Self-starter and team player, willing to jump in on all projects as needed
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and prioritization skills, with a commitment to providing outstanding support to all employees
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Location: This is a regular in-office role requiring collaboration for candidates residing in Austin, TX or surrounding areas available to work from our downtown Austin headquarters

Sponsorship: This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Candidates must have existing authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for sponsorship now or in the future
