POSITION SUMMARY 

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic advisor and trusted partner to business leaders, aligning talent strategy with business priorities to drive organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, and sustainable growth. This role focuses on proactive workforce planning, leader capability, performance effectiveness, and culture to deliver consistent and scalable people solutions. 

The HRBP guides leaders through change, and ensures talent decisions are informed by data, equity, and long-term organizational goals. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

  • Partner closely with leaders to understand business goals and translate them into people and workforce strategies. 

  • Provide consultative guidance on organizational design, workforce planning, and change management. 

  • Use data and insights (engagement results, retention trends, performance outcomes) to inform decisions and recommend actions. 

  • Partner with leaders to drive strong performance management practices, including goal setting, feedback, development planning, and performance conversations. 

  • Support implementation of leadership development, career pathways, and internal mobility strategies. 

  • Guide leaders in identifying and developing high-potential talent and addressing performance risks early. 

  • Act as a steward of culture by reinforcing company values, inclusive leadership behaviors, and consistent people practices. 

  • Partner with leaders to interpret engagement and pulse survey results and support action planning. 

  • Provide coaching and guidance on employee relations matters, balance employee experience, business needs, and compliance. 

  • Manage talent acquisition to support workforce plans, role alignment, and effective hiring decisions. 

  • Advise leaders on role clarity, job design, and candidate selection. 

  • Partner across HR to ensure a consistent, high-quality onboarding experience. 

  • Maintain working knowledge of employment laws and regulations to ensure consistent, compliant people practices. 

  • Advise leaders on policy interpretation, employee relations issues, and risk mitigation. 

  • Contribute to HR initiatives, process improvements, and enterprise-wide talent programs. 

  • Lead, coach, motivate, and develop. Responsible for one-on-one meetings, performance appraisals, growth opportunities, and attracting new talent. 

  • Clearly communicate expectations, provide employees with the training, resources, and information needed to succeed.  

  • Actively engage, coach, counsel and provide timely, and constructive performance feedback. 

  • Other duties as assigned. 

EDUCATION 

  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent work experience 

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS 

  • Minimum of 8 years of HR experience, including at least 5 years an HRBP, and 2 years of management experience required. 

  • Ability to partner with the business leaders in way that demonstrates our corporate culture 

  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including talent acquisition, compensation practices, diversity, performance management, employee relations, and federal and state respective employment laws. 

  • Experience with sourcing, passive recruitment, and attracting candidates via social media and networking 

  • Excellent Microsoft skills- Outlook, Word, Excel; ATS database experience 

  • Ability to create innovative recruiting strategies 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment 

  • Strong communication skills are required.  Must have the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
