HR Business Partner

From Oscar Kjellberg’s invention of the covered welding electrode in 1904 to today’s advanced solutions in welding automation and consumables, ESAB continues to shape the future of fabrication and manufacturing worldwide.


We are looking for an HR Business Partner who is responsible for supporting and executing operational HR activities for the production plant in Katowice and supporting the commercial organization in Poland. The role partners closely with local leaders and employees to align people initiatives with business objectives, foster employee engagement and performance, and support talent and organizational development activities.

Performance Objectives and Responsibilities:


Strategic HR Partnership

  • Act as a trusted advisor to Area Sales Manager on HR-related matters.

Talent Management & Succession Planning

  • Perform annual Talent Review with Area Sales Manager and calibrate with HR Manager Commercial - Eastern.
  • Develop and monitor individual development plans for key talent population.
  • Advise Area Sales Manager on retention strategies.
  • Monitor talent risks and propose mitigation plans to ensure business sustainability.
  • Promote a performance and growth-oriented culture focused on employee development and career opportunities.

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Perform recruitment activities for key and strategic positions.

Performance Management

  • Support the performance management cycle, including objective setting, mid and end year reviews.
  • Coach managers on performance improvement and employee development.

Learning & Development

  • Identify training and development needs across the organization.
  • Promote continuous learning and career development opportunities.
  • On occasions, perform necessary training.

Employee Engagement & Culture

  • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture, in the spirit of SHAPE.
  • Support the annual Engagement Survey, Focus Groups and implementation of improvement action plans.
  • Support diversity, equity, and inclusion programs.

Change Management & Organizational Development

  • Support organizational design and restructuring initiatives.
  • Guide managers and employees through change and transition processes.
  • Facilitate communication and adoption of organizational changes.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Support implementation and communication of compensation and benefits programs in Poland.
  • Partner with managers during annual compensation planning cycle and individual salary reviews.
  • Provide guidance on compensation decisions to ensure internal equity and market competitiveness.
  • Participate in salary benchmarking and market analysis activities.
  • Monitor compensation trends and provide recommendations aligned with business and talent needs.
  • Support job evaluation and grading processes in alignment with global frameworks.
  • Coordinate with Total Rewards on necessary approvals.
  • Promote employee understanding of available benefits and reward programs.
  • Support retention and recognition initiatives through appropriate reward strategies.
  • Ensure compensation practices comply with local regulations and company policies.
