What You’ll Do
The Human Resources Coordinator reports directly to the Senior Manager of Benefits and Payroll and plays a vital support role on the team. This role will also closely collaborate with the Director of Learning and Development. The person in this position will communicate across the organization and with vendors. We are looking for someone organized, collaborative, and an effective communicator. This person will support onboarding, benefits and wellness, payroll, employee file maintenance, and learning and development communications. Your responsibilities will include the following:
- Own the onboarding processes for tutors and staff, making sure all new hires are cleared to start before their first day
- Maintain employee records and HR databases to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Support HR compliance tasks (e.g., employment verifications, I-9s, policy acknowledgments).
- Respond to general employee inquiries about policies, benefits, and processes.
- Help coordinate employee engagement initiatives, including wellness activities.
- Prepare HR reports and track HR metrics (e.g., turnover, headcount, time-to-fill).
- Support HR audits and file maintenance.
- Assist with drafting and distributing HR communications.
- Assist with timecard review and communication for bi-weekly payroll
- Maintain training records and monitor employee training completion.
- Support the development and updating of training materials and resources.
- Help administer Learning Management System (LMS): enroll users, pull reports, troubleshoot issues.
- Support the organization with special projects as needed

What You Bring
- Associate's degree or higher in related field
- 2-3 years of experience as an HR Coordinator or applicable administrative experience
- Experience successfully multi-tasking, to manage multiple priorities at the same time
- Experience in an HRIS is a plus, ADP preferred
- Experience with managing high-volume background screening and onboarding, preferred but not required
