Vibes is seeking a dynamic Director of Talent & Development to join our strategic Talent Team. The top candidate will have demonstrated impact as the HRBP and Recruiter for Technology & Product teams, as well as experience designing and launching company-wide training & development programs. In addition, our new teammate has a passion for all HR functional areas as well as the drive, smarts, and integrity to guide and optimize Vibes’ culture and talent.
This is an exceptional opportunity to join the Talent department of a high-growth marketing technology company and to contribute to an exciting and critical chapter in Vibes’ success. This position will report directly to the SVP of Talent & Development and is located downtown Chicago at 300 W. Adams Street.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Talent Partner (HRBP) for multiple departments including Vibes’ dynamic technology, product & finance teams
- Lead strategy to ensure the departments you serve continuously attract, develop and retain top performers
- Partner with CTO, VP of Product Experience and CFO on talent programs for their divisions including resource planning, employee satisfaction & engagement, career pathing, mentoring & high potential programs, employee development and change management
- Be a proactive change agent and continuously enact the Talent Team vision to “Be The Power Driving Vibes and Employees Reaching Their Full Potential”
- Lead talent acquisition strategy and execution to ensure a pipeline of diverse top talent across multiple levels & departments including but not limited to software engineering, Data Warehouse/BI, IT Operations, Product Development, UI/UX and Finance & Accounting teams
- Be seen as a trusted advisor and management coach across all levels, including new and developing managers, directors and executive team members
- Co-lead Vibes’ Learning & Development Center of Excellence with SVP of Talent & Development
- Lead strategy and execution for company-wide training & development program, Vibes Accelerate
- Design & facilitate management and leadership development training and New Employee Onboarding across all teams
- Design & implement company-wide OD initiatives and iterate and evolve existing programs to support company growth
- Develop and execute Vibes LMS strategy and optimization with SVP of Talent & Development
- Be seen as a leader within the Talent department and the company as a result of your business savvy, energy, positivity, solution orientation, ownership, collaboration, smarts and passion for growth and improvement
- Directly manage 1-2 team members in the next 12 months
- Continuously elevate internal brand of the Talent department as strategic business partners

Requirements & Qualifications:
- 10+ years Talent Partner, Recruiting and HR Generalist experience in fast paced high growth companies
- 8+ years Full Service Recruitment experience including technology and director-level recruitment experience
- Demonstrated success as a strategic Talent Business Partner to multiple departments, executives and employees at all levels
- 5+ years Training & Development experience, including designing and delivering Management & Leadership Development programs
- Experience in Digital and/or Software as a Service Industry highly preferred
- Knowledge and passion across talent metrics & insights, talent acquisition, management & leadership development, change management, employee relations, employee satisfaction strategies, HR Operations and Comp & Benefits
- Superior presentation and facilitation skills
- Experience managing LMS launch and roadmap a plus
- High level of self awareness and demonstrated ability to accept and apply feedback for personal and professional growth
- Proven track record of effective partnership with department managers and leaders as evidenced by a passion for their teams and those teams’ challenges and opportunities
- Ability to think several steps ahead, develop contingency plans and adjust when needed
- Good listener balanced with ability to “push back” and challenge constructively
- Demonstrated success managing & mentoring more junior HR & Talent professionals
- Experience creating, vetting and implementing new HR & OD best practices, technologies and tools to increase department efficiency
- Equally strategic and detail oriented
- Excellent project management capabilities and ability to juggle multiple projects and work well under deadlines
