The Regional HR Manager is responsible for providing HR leadership in all areas of Human Resources that affect employees in the Region. Act as an internal consultant to local management to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of Human Resources services to employees. Provide management with guidance on decisions affecting day-to-day employee management issues as well as long-term strategies to achieve positive business outcomes. Help create and maintain a great place to work through helping leaders manage, resolving conflict, and developing people, policies and processes to foster continued engagement. 24/6 operation so coverage at off hours is sometimes required.

  • Analyze employment trends in the region to identify areas of opportunity; develop recommendations for improvement and implement practices or processes as approved
  • Develop effective employee communication strategies to ensure that employees understand the company’s policies, practices, benefits, and values
  • Respond to employee and manager requests for assistance on issues relating to policy interpretation, employee conflict, employment law, benefit administration, and other areas managed by the Human Resources function
  • Respond to employee questions and issues (benefits, working conditions, time off, etc .)
  • Partner with the corporate Talent Acquisition team and facility leadership team on salaried hiring needs and help select talent
  • Direct Jr. Talent Acquisition Specialist on hiring hourly associates, including screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and completing all other pre-employment requirements including the review of background check results.
  • In partnership with region leadership and CPO, provide direction to on-site Trainer for hourly training and onboarding needs
  • Administer and record employee absence programs, policies, and benefits (vacation, sick, FMLA, disability, etc.), and any required accommodation processes related to disability, religion or other need.
  • Partner with leadership to participate and partner in safety programs and audits; propose and implement needed programs.
  • Oversee the annual benefit enrollment process for the region.
  • Manage accurate and timely recording of employee personal and employment data.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with region employees and managers, as well as with corporate teams, community organizations, and HR professional associations

What are we looking for in a Regional HR Manager?

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience
  • 5+ years of HR Generalist practice, preferably in a manufacturing/distribution center environment
  • Prior experience managing others preferred
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment law and HR best practices and current trends
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, through various channels, at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to influence others
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred

Solid Computer skills (MS Office, Google suite, HRIS/Payroll, ATS)
