Sr. Director, Human Resources
As the Senior Director of Human Resources, you will serve as a right-hand to the Chief People Officer, as you oversee the day to day operations of Human Resources. Fusion is growing, and we need to ensure how we attract, engage, and develop employees within their careers is best-in-class.
Specifically, you will be expected to:
- Lead Human Resources team members, including those focused on Training; Recruiting; and, Systems, Benefits & Payroll. This person will find the balance of giving people various levels of direction based on their experience and then provide them the room to execute on their roles, stepping in when needed, but stepping back when not.
- Employ an operational, result-focused mindset and know how to instill that among those reporting to you.
- Build deep relationships across Fusion at all levels in the organization.
- Partner with Fusion's HR Business Partners as an internal business adviser to Fusion's teams, providing counsel to leadership and being a trusted adviser to all team members within the groups you support.
- Think strategically, but can translate your vision to others, turning vision into reality, plans into progress, goals into wins.
- Know how to ask the right questions, to peel back the layers to dive into the details and understand the core issue.
- Architect programs, policies and processes which enable our organization's strategy. You can work backwards from an end state or forward from problem to solution. You think through implications and impacts, change management and roadblock resolution.
- Apply outstanding communication and change management to help ensure our programs take hold. Guide team members within and outside the department to develop and employ these techniques to increase program implementation effectiveness.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Bachelor's degree required. Degree in business or human resources a plus
- 10+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources or People Operations, including leadership of others (mentor, coach, teach, advise, mobilize, motivate, be a partner to)
- Demonstrated experience in scaling organization(s)
- Experience supporting a SaaS business strongly preferred
- Thought leadership and best practices in Human Resources
- Demonstrated leadership, strong personal presence and bias-for-action
- Breadth to develop high-level strategy, to dig into analytical details, and to strongly execute based on analysis
- Excellent at managing workflow for multiple projects, with minimal oversight, in a fast-paced environment
- Highly organized, self-directed, and action-oriented, with an ability to work with employees at all levels in a range of functions
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with Recruiting, HRIS systems and reporting tools strongly preferred
