Unilever Operations (UniOps) plays a vital role in this, through reducing complexity and leveraging technologies and data to support global digitalisation and to allow our Markets, Divisions and Functions to focus on growth.
The HRBP role will partner Global Technology Applications, Enterprise Operations, Customer Technology, Employee Experience Technology, Enterprise Architecture and Technology Innovation and Sustainability groups, sitting as an integral member of their Leadership team.
Purpose of the Role
To act as a strategic HR partner to the Finance Services and Procurement Services leadership teams, enabling delivery of business outcomes through effective organisation design, workforce planning, talent, culture, and change leadership. The role supports global, multi‑location teams operating in a highly digital, process‑driven, and transformation‑heavy environment.
Key Accountabilities
1. Strategic Business Partnering
Partner Finance Services and Procurement Services leadership to translate business strategy into a fit‑for‑purpose people agenda.
Provide forward‑looking HR insight on organisational effectiveness, skills, capacity, cost, and capability impacts.
Act as a trusted advisor on leadership, team effectiveness, and decision‑making.
2. Organisation Design & Workforce Planning
Lead workforce planning cycles, including capacity, skills, location strategy, and cost optimisation.
Support organisation design, role clarity, and span/layer optimisation aligned to GBS and functional strategies.
Partner with Finance to ensure robust people cost forecasting and workforce assumptions.
3. Talent, Performance & Succession
Lead annual and quarterly talent processes (e.g., talent reviews, succession planning, development actions).
Support leaders with performance management, differentiation, and capability uplift.
Partner with Talent and Learning teams to deploy targeted development, reskilling, and future‑capability programmes.
4. Change Management & Transformation
Play a core role in major transformation initiatives (digitalisation, automation, operating‑model changes, vendor shifts).
Provide structured change leadership support: impact assessment, stakeholder engagement, communications, and adoption.
Partner closely with transformation, finance excellence, and procurement operations teams.
5. Culture, Engagement & Employee Relations
Drive a high‑performance, inclusive culture aligned to Unilever values and GBS ways of working.
Lead engagement action planning and follow‑through.
Provide pragmatic ER guidance, working with Employee Relations specialists where required.
6. HR Governance, Data & Service Excellence
Ensure adherence to global HR frameworks, reward principles, and governance standards.
Use people data and insights (Workday, engagement, attrition, skill data) to inform decisions and track impact.
Partner with HR Operations/People Experience teams to ensure high‑quality, seamless employee experience delivery.

Skills & Experience
Essential
Strong HR Business Partner experience in Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, or GBS environments.
Candidates must possess at least 6 years of relevant experience.
Demonstrated experience in organisation design, workforce planning, and talent management.
Proven change management capability in complex, multi‑country settings.
Strong stakeholder influencing skills with senior leaders.
Data‑driven mindset with the ability to turn insight into action.
Desirable
Experience supporting digital, automation, or shared‑services transformations.
Exposure to outsourced / third‑party service models.
Experience working in global, matrixed organisations.
Critical Success Factors
Ability to balance strategic partnership with strong operational execution
Commercial acumen and understanding of Finance and Procurement operating models
Comfort working in ambiguity and fast‑paced transformation environments
High credibility with senior leaders through judgement, insight, and delivery
