Description

Do you enjoy connecting great candidates with great opportunities? Do you enjoy variety, building relationships, and being part of a team that helps create a positive associate experience?

We’re looking for a Human Resources Generalist to join our HR team in Moline. This role will have a strong focus on talent acquisition, particularly recruiting for entry-level positions across the organization, while also supporting onboarding, associate engagement, and other HR initiatives.

If you’re organized, approachable, and energized by meeting new people, this could be a great opportunity to grow your HR career while making an impact across our organization.

This position can be based anywhere in our footprint (Quad Cities, Muscatine, Galesburg, or Coralville) and will include some travel to our surrounding locations, generally within approximately a one-hour drive of your primary location. Travel is anticipated to average approximately one day per week, depending on recruiting, onboarding, and business needs.  Mileage is paid for travel to other locations for business needs.

What You Will Do

Talent Acquisition & Recruiting

  • Lead recruiting efforts for entry-level positions across the organization, from sourcing candidates through the initial screening process.
  • Proactively source candidates using job boards, career fairs, community partnerships, and other recruiting channels.
  • Review applications and conduct initial candidate screenings to identify candidates who are a strong match for our opportunities and culture.
  • Partner with hiring managers and HR team members to help create a positive, efficient candidate experience.
  • Assist with career fairs and other recruiting events.
  • Manage the summer internship program, including intern recruitment and selection, coordination with hiring managers, onboarding, programming, and activities that create a meaningful and engaging internship experience.
  • Facilitate pre-employment background checks and other applicable pre-employment processes.

Onboarding & Associate Experience

  • Coordinate and facilitate onboarding activities for new associates, helping ensure they feel welcomed, prepared, and connected from day one.
  • Support new-hire orientation and related onboarding processes.
  • Assist with associate engagement activities, recognition efforts, events, and other initiatives that contribute to a positive workplace experience.

HR Support

  • Provide general HR support to associates and leaders and connect them with the appropriate HR resources when needed.
  • Assist with personnel records, record retention, and other HR documentation.
  • Support HR projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Previous HR, recruiting, customer service, sales, or relationship-building experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships with candidates, associates, and leaders.
  • A proactive, resourceful approach to finding and engaging potential candidates.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Comfortable working independently while also collaborating as part of an HR team.
  • Professional judgment and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort learning HR and recruiting technology.
