About The Opportunity

Administer daily functions of the HR department, including HR policies and procedures, payroll, hourly recruitment and staffing, employee relations, leaves of absence, and benefit enrollment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Conduct human resource generalist activities in the areas of recruiting, selection, onboarding, orientation, training, employee relations, and payroll.

2. Assist with communication and enrollment of benefits, safety, and wellness programs, working in conjunction with the corresponding functional departments.

3. Support continuous improvement activities to identify and resolve opportunities and gaps within the HR function.

4. Utilize SAP, Workday, TCP, and other related HRIS to administer payroll, wages, status change, leave entitlement, attendance, and other related personnel transactions.

5. Assist in FMLA, Disability, and other leaves of absence programs.

6. Ensure knowledge of and compliance with all relevant labor laws.

7. Promote open door communication with all employees; be visible to ensure employees feel at ease to approach for questions and be available to counsel as required.

8. Maintain appropriate professional affiliations and participate in professional development activities that foster continuous learning and ensure business compliance with applicable state and federal employment, wage, FMLA, OSHA and other regulations and/or procedures.

9. Other duties as assigned.

Education/Certification

Level Required - Bachelor’s Degree – HR or related field

Level Desired - PHR/SHRM-CP Certification


Work Experience

Required - 2 years of relevant HR work experience

Desired - 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing

2 years experience in a union setting, if applicable

9. Knowledge of methods, accepted practices, considerations and regulatory requirements associated with safety and protection of the employees, environment and site
