The Team You Will Join
MetLife is seeking a highly skilled and motivated IAM engineer to join our Identity Management team. This role will focus on designing, developing, and maintaining identity governance solutions using SailPoint IdentityIQ. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Java and Beanshell development and experience building custom workflows, rules, reports, plugins and connectors within the SailPoint ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain identity lifecycle processes using SailPoint IdentityIQ.
  • Develop custom rules, reports, and workflows to meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate IAM solutions with enterprise systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex IAM issues, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Participate in design reviews, code reviews, security assessments, and compliance audits.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of IAM processes, standards, and documentation.

What You Need to Succeed (Required Qualifications)
  • Bachelor's in information technology, Computer Science, Security, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in Identity and Access Management, with a focus on SailPoint IdentityIQ.
  • Familiarity with identity governance concepts such as provisioning, certification, role-based access control, and policy enforcement.
  • Strong proficiency in Java or BeanShell, including object-oriented design and development.
  • Hands-on experience developing custom rules, email templates, reports, connectors, and/or workflows.
  • Experience with configuring application connectors, such as webservices (REST), LDAP/Active Directory, and/or database technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

What Can Give You an Edge (Additional Skills)
  • SailPoint IdentityIQ Engineer certification.
  • Previous IT infrastructure experience, including patching, upgrading and server migration.
  • Experience with developing SailPoint plugins is a plus.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Powershell or Python to automate repeatable tasks
  • Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Azure DevOps).
  • Knowledge of cloud IAM (e.g., Azure AD, AWS IAM) is a plus.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.

The expected salary range for this position is $100,000 - $145,000. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
