Responsible to characterize electrical data to identify and source out extrinsic and intrinsic device issues that are impacting yield. Work closely with cross functional team from R&D and manufacturing to accelerate product to market timeline by applying device physics knowledge to develop end of line device performance prediction using machine learning. Analyze end of line test, parametric and fab data to identify design, process, and test issues that are impacting yield. Develop new tools for yield analysis and implement machine learning technique to improve analysis efficiency and accuracy. Identify new creative and innovative ways to use existing tools to identify relevant process issues or device failures. Identify interactions between process modules and/or equipment to detect fail mechanisms. Use the data collected inline to drive process improvements. Improve yield by standardizing methods and procedures to promote consistent, comparable and repeatable processes. Participate in multi-area focus teams to troubleshoot complex yield issues. Provide feedback on design and process issues that are limiting device functionality and help the R&D team driving resolution to existing issues. Publish and present reports on analysis of process experiments. Support transfer of new part from R&D site to manufacturing site.
Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Chemical and Material Science Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Data Science, or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in an engineer-related occupation.
Position requires:
1. JMP and Klarity for wafer-level and die-level statistical analysis and cross-site data alignment.
2. Identifying and differentiating issues by using electrical test signature and failure isolation.
3. Developing dieloss methodology and custom crunch logic to improve signal accuracy and early yield debug efficiency.
4. Data visualization tool (Tableau) to review issues and improve decision making efficiency.
5. Correlating inline inspection and parametric data with yield trend to identify process-related failure mechanism.
