Implementation Data Specialist

Summary/Objective

The Implementation Data Specialist is responsible for using various tools and technologies to complete data conversions from other providers in the industry. This role focuses on data accuracy, transformation, and validation while leveraging automation tools and scripting to improve efficiency. Responsibilities include data scrubbing, data transfer, data imports, mapping, and issue resolution. The position requires strong collaboration with internal teams.

Essential Functions
  • Uses available tools, including automation workflows and scripting, to complete data processing jobs in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Converts data from multiple sources including text files, PDFs, and Excel files into import-ready formats.
  • Prepares and imports employee demographics, payroll history, and other relevant information.
  • Audits and processes employee demographic imports, payroll history, and comparison audits.
  • Communicates project status and ensures data accuracy with the Implementation department and other stakeholders as necessary.
  • Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves data and processing issues.
  • Verifies conversion accuracy through validation and reconciliation processes.
  • Utilizes SQL queries to validate, extract, and analyze data during conversions and audits.
  • Leverages existing Power Automate workflows (or similar tools) to streamline repetitive data processing and tasks where applicable.
  • Assists in creating and maintaining documentation for data processes, workflows, and automation steps.
  • Delivers timely, accurate, and high-quality solutions for Implementation partners and other internal departments as necessary.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve data processes through automation and efficiency enhancements.

Required Experience
  • Possesses a growth mindset and passion for learning.
  • Data conversion experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of payroll principles and practices.
  • High ability to learn and develop proficiency in company software and related systems.
  • Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and accountable.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with strict deadlines and strong time management.

Preferred Experience
  • Working knowledge of SQL for data querying and validation.
  • Exposure to or experience with Power Automate or similar workflow automation tools.
  • Basic experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, shell scripting, or similar) for data handling and task automation.
