Description

Global-e (Nasdaq: GLBE) is the world’s leading platform to enable and accelerate global, direct-to-consumer cross-border e-commerce growth. We make selling internationally as simple as selling domestically for hundreds of retailers and brands worldwide.

We are looking for a skilled Implementation Engineer. The Implementation Engineer will be part of the Professional Services team working on integrations and ongoing requests for our clients.

As an Implementation Engineer, you will fill in an essential, hands-on, “on the ground” role of configuring complex technical solutions and features that enable our merchants to conduct cross-border transactions seamlessly. You will be an active participant in merchant onboardings, working closely with other teams in Professional Services, including Solutions, Integrations, Operations, DBAs, QA, and Project Managers to facilitate quick and issue-free launches. Furthermore, you will be expected to handle day-to-day requests for our existing clientele by aligning with CSMs and the MOP team on business requests and translating them into setting/configuration updates in the database.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain expertise in system settings for GE merchants, acting as a source of truth for other teams pertaining to database configurations and merchant setups.
  • Edit and/or add configurations into the database using in-house admin tools, database scripts, or cooperation with DBAs on complex technical requirements.
  • Work closely with the QA team to ensure the accuracy of merchant configurations and settings.
  • Sync with PMs/CSMs to understand business requirements, and work with SEs to see how to best fulfill said requirements through technical means.
  • Respond to issues raised by Tech Support that may pertain to merchant configurations, and work independently or across teams to find and implement solutions.
  • Assist with documentation of complex merchant setups/settings, to facilitate knowledge-building and retention.
  • Identify any issues that come with regards to feature or setting logic and escalate them to the CORE/Product team or other relevant teams.
  • Play a proactive role in analyzing new Product rollouts and develop an understanding on new feature implementation best practices.
Requirements

Technical Skills:

  • 2+ years of hands-on technical experience, which should include:
  • A strong grasp of SQL/relational database fundamentals (filters, sorting data, multi-table JOINs, subqueries), and familiarity with intermediate to advanced concepts (CTEs, temporary tables, etc.).
  • Experience reading and troubleshooting API calls, logs, and JSON payloads using tools such as Coralogix.
  • Effectively use LLMs to reduce turnaround time for problem resolution while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
  • Prior experience using JIRA, Confluence, or similar ticketing/documentation programs.
  • Familiarity with E-Commerce platforms, such as Shopify, Magento, and/or Salesforce.

General Skills & Mandatory Requirements:

  • Outstanding ability to manage multiple, competing deadlines for various projects and assignments in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, paramount for avoiding Production issues when implementation complex configurations.
  • Independent self-starter with a high level of engagement, and a strong willingness to tackle ambiguous problems or concepts that lack clear answers.
  • Impeccable interpersonal skills and ability to work across various teams. You will need to be able to translate complex terminologies and requirements from various teams into physical configurations.
  • Strong sense of ownership; an ability to own the resolution to problems end-to-end, working with other teams as needed.
  • Comfortable working with teams that are situated in different time zones.

Nice to Have:

  • Technical background/orientation – Computer Science majors/coders are welcome!
  • Prior experience working in the E-Commerce industry or a tangentially related sector.

This position is a hybrid role and requires in-office presence at our NYC office three (3) days per week – Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.

Total Compensation: $65,000 - $80,000
