About the Role
As the Implementation Manager - Epic Specialist, you will be a technical subject matter expert at the intersection of Foundation Health’s platform and our customers’ Epic environments. This is a high-autonomy, technical position ideal for someone who can own the EHR integration lifecycle—from discovery and build, to go-live and optimization.
You will liaise with our customers’ Epic technical stakeholders, specifically leveraging your expertise in Epic Willow, Ambulatory, Compass Rose, and/or Bridges.
You aren’t just following a playbook; you are helping build it. You will lead technical discovery and ensure that our platform’s integration is seamless and fully functional. You will collaborate closely with Implementation, Customer Success, Customer Support, Product, Engineering, and Sales teams to deliver seamless go-lives, advocate for customer needs, and continuously improve our product and processes based on real-world usage and support insights.
Key Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end technical delivery of Foundation Health’s platform within Epic-related workflows, serving as the primary SME for customer IT and clinical informatics teams
Drive the technical work for Epic integrations, including direct consultation on SMART on FHIR app configuration, OAuth 2.0 backend authentications, and interface configurations
Manage EHR-related product deployments for customers, including reviewing, reproducing, and diagnosing complex integration issues (HL7/FHIR/API) before escalating to Engineering, ensuring a high bar for technical documentation
Maintain and expand Foundation Health’s Epic Integration Playbook, proactively identifying changes in Epic’s upgrade cycles that may impact our integration points
Partner directly with Product and Engineering to influence the product roadmap, ensuring Foundation Health remains at the cutting edge of Epic’s Connection Hub and interoperability standards
Lead technical integration discussions with customer counterparts at all levels, including Epic stakeholders, to align on timelines and technical requirements
Drive continuous improvement by optimizing our onboarding process and reducing post-go-live support volume through better, upfront implementation quality
