Location: Remote

Compensation: Up to 25% of contract value — uncapped, unlimited earning potential Position Type: Independent Contractor (1099)

Benefits: None (this is a commission-only, independent contractor role)

Company Overview

Telescope Mapping is a boutique sales and marketing consultancy based in Denver, CO, serving clients in the US and in Canada. We work with both B2B and B2C businesses across a wide range of industries, including both products and services.

We specialize in best-in-class audits, data & analytics customization, website management, website development, conversion rate optimization, and growth marketing services. We are industry agnostic and have proven results in dozens of industries. We have particularly deep experience in the cannabis industry.

As a small, collaborative team, we believe in working with integrity, taking responsibility, staying curious, and approaching every project with creativity and compassion. Our mission is simple: to provide the highest level of service in our field and help businesses reach their full potential.

What sets us apart is our attention to detail, our customer service, and our approach to decision-making. We leverage data to inform all of our strategic decisions.

About the Role

We're looking for a driven, well-connected Independent Sales Representative to introduce Telescope Mapping's services to new clients. This position is unique, in that we aren’t requiring a “close” in order to earn commission. Because we are a small organization, our sales process is intimate, and relationships are forged directly with ownership. Put simply:

  • You provide the introduction
  • We will handle the sales lead with care
  • When it closes, you earn commission

This is a fully remote, commission-only 1099 role built for a self-starting seller who already has relationships, a book of business, or an audience they can activate.

In this role, you aren't just selling a service — you're opening doors to businesses that need audits, analytics, web development, conversion rate optimization, and growth marketing, and connecting them with a team that delivers results. You bring the lead, we’ll develop the relationships and the close; then deliver best-in-class work that helps your clients.

This role is perfect for a candidate who already works with internet-based businesses, or for someone looking to build out their own digital services channel. We give extra consideration to working independent reps who currently sell tangential or complementary services and can position our offerings as a natural add-on to their existing conversations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospecting & Lead Generation: Identify, source, and qualify new business opportunities through your network, outbound outreach, and existing client relationships
  • Consultative Selling: Understand a prospect's business goals and clearly communicate how Telescope Mapping's services (audits, analytics, web development, CRO, and growth marketing) solve their problems
  • Pitching & Presenting: Deliver clear, compelling presentations of our services and translate our capabilities into business outcomes prospects care about
  • Pipeline Management: Own your pipeline end to end — tracking opportunities, following up consistently, and moving deals from first conversation to a booked meeting with ownership
  • Brand Representation: Represent Telescope Mapping professionally and accurately in every client-facing interaction
  • Handoff & Continuity: Smoothly transition warm leads to our ownership team so the relationship starts strong
  • Transparency: Keep us informed about the other brands and services you represent so we can avoid conflicts and coordinate effectively

Requirements

  • Proven Sales Experience: A track record of independently sourcing and closing B2B and/or B2C deals
  • Existing Network or Channel: An established book of business, network, or audience you can sell into — or a clear plan to build one
  • Digital Services Fit: Comfort selling into or alongside internet-based businesses and digital services
  • No Overlapping Services: You must not currently sell services that overlap with Telescope Mapping's offerings (audits, analytics, web management, web development, CRO, or growth marketing). Reps selling directly competing services will not be considered
  • Transparency: Willingness to disclose the other brands, products, and services you represent
  • High Ownership: A self-starter who treats their pipeline like their own business — because it is
  • Self-Directed & Remote-Ready: Able to manage your own time, follow through, and produce results without day-to-day oversight

Additional Consideration For Candidates With These Qualifications

  • Working independent reps who currently sell tangential or complementary services (e.g., adjacent marketing, creative, software, or business services) and can position ours as a natural add-on
  • Existing relationships or sales experience in the cannabis industry
  • Experience selling to internet-based or digitally native businesses
  • An established personal brand, referral network, or client roster in a relevant vertical

Compensation

  • Up to 25% of contract value, with no cap — your earning potential is unlimited and directly tied to what is closed
  • Estimated average payout is $5,500 per closed deal
  • 100% commission-based, paid as an independent contractor (1099)
  • No base salary and no benefits; this role is built for high-performing sellers who want their income to reflect their results

Work Environment & Expectations

  • Fully remote — sell from anywhere
  • Independent contractor (1099); you set your own hours and manage your own schedule
  • Coordinate with Telescope Mapping leadership on pricing, scope, and terms for the deals you bring in
  • Full transparency about the other brands and services you represent is required at all times
  • We will not consider reps who currently sell services that overlap with ours

Success Metrics

Success in this role will be measured by:

  • New Contracts Closed: The number and value of new client contracts you bring in
  • Total Contract Value Generated: The tangible revenue your leads produce for Telescope Mapping
  • Client Fit & Quality: Bringing in well-matched clients who are a strong fit for our services
  • Client Retention: Referring clients who stay and grow with us over time
  • Pipeline Health: Maintaining a consistent, well-managed flow of qualified opportunities
  • Speed to Close: How efficiently you move opportunities from first conversation to initial meeting

How to Apply

Please visit telescopemapping.com/careers/ to submit your information for consideration, including an overview of your sales background and the other brands or services you currently represent. Please note, we will only accept applications that are submitted through our website.

We will be accepting applications until the position is filled. We will review, then reach out to applicants. Please do not contact Telescope Mapping or individual employees. We inform all applicants of next steps.
