The Department/Team
The Chicago Life/FRM/LTS Information Technology team is seeking an intern to assist in the support of network infrastructure, software and end user systems. This position will closely collaborate with the IT team as well as multiple software development teams. Duties may include configuring and maintaining workstations, laptops and servers in addition to developing internal software solutions.
Your Role/What You’ll Do
You will:
- Assist with programming on several ongoing software development projects
- Conduct testing on several new applications
- Assist with documentation and research
- Assist with miscellaneous projects and tasks as assigned
- Configure/Maintain laptops, workstations and servers
Your Qualifications
Required:
- Computer Science or Information Technology related degree program (BA or BS)
- Experience with Windows desktop and server operating systems
- Experience with Linux operating systems
- Experience with Python
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and/or AWS
- Experience with programming concepts
Desired:
- Sharp critical thinking skills, sound judgment and decision making ability
- The ability and willingness to clearly articulate your ideas
- An inherent sense of the value of collaboration
- The ability to work both collaboratively and independently
Location
Candidates hired into this role will be required to work in-person in the Milliman office in Chicago, IL on a weekly basis, but flexible work arrangements will be considered.
Compensation
The salary range for this role is $23 - $46 per hour depending on a combination of factors, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, location, etc.
