Caterpillar IT has an opening for an IT Manager in the Industrial Power Systems Division (IPSD) segment of the Power & Energy GCIO organization. We are seeking an experienced IT Manager for our IPSD Large Engine facilities in South Texas. In this role, you will lead a team of 7-10 IT professionals who are responsible for providing application and site support for Seguin, Schertz and San Antonio. The role is responsible for supporting operations, technical infrastructure, project/portfolio execution, supporting strategic enterprise programs and leading modernization of systems aligned to strategic roadmaps.
The selected candidate must establish and maintain strong relationships with business partners, a global team of IT professionals and software vendors. Additionally, the incumbent will serve as a strategic IT business partner ensuring the delivery of high-quality, innovative solutions that align with business objectives. The scope manages 7-8 Caterpillar staff & 2-3 agency staff across 3 sites, and $6M in technology spend.

Vendor/Supplier Management: Knowledge of external provider management processes and ability to effectively manage the business relationship with external providers (e.g. vendors, service providers, contractors, consultants and suppliers).

- Drive innovation and solve complex business challenges by deploying new technologies that enable modernization, strengthen digital and AI capabilities, while leading process improvements and automation to improve operational excellence.
- Manage the development, deployment, maintenance, and integration of IT applications aligned to business-relevant IT strategies, priorities and strategic roadmap.
- Build and maintain relationships with business partners, vendors, and Caterpillar IT driving alignment in goals, strategy, priorities, and outcomes.
- Remove roadblocks and prioritize resources to achieve strategic business objectives.
